One of the many ways our congregation serves our community is by lending out durable medical equipment. Visit facebook.com/thelendingcloset to learn more.

A congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod centered in Jesus Christ and His gracious gifts and embodying His love as we joyously serve our families, schools, workplaces, and communities.

Here is our church float from yesterday’s Pumpkin Fest Parade. Woven into the design is our country’s 250th Anniversary (the parade theme) and our congregation’s 150th Anniversary. Special thanks to all the volunteers who built and decorated the float, as well as those who rode/walked along. We love being a part of this community and invite everyone to come and join us for Christ’s gracious gifts each Lord’s Day!

Cheerful Giving

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7). For Christians, daily thanksgiving is accompanied by the joy of regularly returning our best—the firstfruits of our income—to the Lord. This is an act of faith. It acknowledges God’s graciousness to us, even as it trusts He will always provide for our needs. Elsewhere Paul writes, “the one who contributes, in generosity” (Rom 12:8). How has God blessed you? How does your life reflect your thanksgiving? How does your giving reflect the same? God’s children contribute generously to the support of the Gospel, not begrudgingly but cheerfully, because God has first given His best—His own dear Son—to redeem us.

As you count your blessings this fall, we invite you to contribute to the needs in our community. Non-perishable food items are most welcome, as we take these to a local food bank monthly. New socks (for men, women, children) are also welcome, as we are assisting Hope Haven in their fall drive. Donation boxes for each are in the coat area off the narthex. Thanks in advance!
