Yesterday we looked at the prologue to the gospel of John. As we consider the incarnation of Jesus, here were some questions to consider this week:

• Is John’s testimony of Jesus’ divinity enough for you to trust it? Do you need to see Jesus say it himself, why or why not?

• Does it feel like God is near to you as John states in John 1:14, or does he feel far away? Why do you think you feel this way?

• What privilege or status have your hoarded instead of using them to bless others in an incarnational manner?

As many in our community know, we lost our dear sister, Carol Drabik, when she passed away on August 9. We will be holding a memorial service for Carol on Saturday, September 19, at 2:00pm at Restoration Church.

Join us for fellowship and food following the memorial service. The family has asked that if you plan on attending, please let the church, or pastor Chris know, so that he can give an approximate head count to Mike.

Celebrate the life of Carol Drabik and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

Yesterday we looked at Psalm 10, a psalm of lament for when the powerful oppress the vulnerable. We were invited to consider a few questions this week:

• As you read this Psalm, does it bring any of your life experiences to mind? Where can you see God in your suffering?

• How does this Psalm encourage you to consider how you treat the most vulnerable, both personally and in our broader society?
