Parents, as you tuck in your kids tonight, take a moment to talk about healing.

READ: In the Bible, there is a story about a man named Naaman who had a big problem. The Bible tells us in 2 Kings 5:1–14 that Naaman was very sick. He thought there was no hope for his sickness until a young servant girl told him that God could heal him.
Naaman’s journey shows us that when we go to God for healing, He not only helps us physically, He also grows our faith.

ASK: “How can we trust God to heal us?”
“Do we know someone who needs a physical healing?”

PRAY: Dear God, thank You for Your healing power. Help us to trust You with our needs and share Your love and power to heal with others. Amen.

WHO WERE ELIJAH AND ELISHA?
Elijah was a powerful prophet that God used to speak to His people. He had a friend named Elisha, and Elisha knew that God had something great in store for him too. Read the story together as a family in 2 Kings 2:6–15.

Elisha had bold faith.
Elisha had seen the incredible things that God had used his friend Elijah to do, and he had faith that God was going to do the same kinds of things through him. He boldly asked God for a “double portion” of Elijah’s anointing. What does having bold faith mean to you?

Bold faith requires action.
With unwavering faith, Elisha stepped up to the Jordan River and called on God to part it, knowing that only He had the power to do it. Bold faith means trusting God to do the impossible. Think of a time you had bold faith and called on God to do the impossible. How did God answer your prayer?

With bold faith, we can ask God for power.
Because Elisha boldly asked for a double share of God’s Spirit, God worked many miracles through him—even more than He did through Elijah. His faith reminds us that bold prayers can lead to great works of God. Let’s pray a bold prayer together.

God specializes in the impossible; nothing is too big or too small for His power! Think of some ways you can practice bold faith this week. Examples: Do you believing for a friend to be healed? Pray with them. Do you want to reach people in your community who don’t know Jesus? Who can you talk with?

Hey, parents! Here’s a thought for your drive today: Do you believe in miracles?
Have you ever experienced a miracle before? In God’s Word, there is a story about a man named Elijah who personally experienced a miracle. In 1 King 17:1–6, while Elijah was in hiding without food, God provided for him by sending ravens with bread and meat and a nearby brook for water. God provided for Elijah with a miracle, and He can do the same for me and you!

On your drive today, ask:
>> Have you ever experienced or seen a miracle?
>> What miracles can we pray for as a family?
Share miracles you have experienced or are praying for in the comments!

NEW MONTH at SFA Kids: This May our theme for Sundays is “Can You Believe It?” Sundays at 9:30 or 11:15am.

When we think of power, we might think of physical strength or mental toughness. While God surely wants us to experience physical health and clarity of mind, He desires that we experience His supernatural power too.
In the Bible, it’s clear that our God—revealed through the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit—is powerful. He spoke the world into existence and sustains the universe by the power of His command (Hebrews 1:3). God displayed His power in many ways in the Old Testament for His people. In the New Testament, Jesus’ life and works revealed His power over sickness, spiritual forces, and even the grave. After Jesus’ resurrection, God sent the Holy Spirit so we could have the power to do kingdom work today (Acts 1:8). Clearly, God is powerful!

STARTING SUNDAY!!
Directions matter! Directions help us know which way to go, whether it’s making a U-turn when we’re going in the wrong direction or following arrows to get us on the right path. This series is all about directions. It’s full of arrows, movement, twists and turns, in, out, up, and down. Jesus has the power to help people whose lives are going the wrong way turn around—He specializes in making things right. Jesus came to turn things around for us. Because of His death and resurrection, we can be “made right” with God. With the Holy Spirit’s help, we can point our world toward Jesus!
