CPR Missions

CPR Missions CPR Missions exists to inspire and equip Christians to share their faith Biblically! The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith.

The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. THE SCRIPTURES
The Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, was written by men divinely inspired and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth without any mixture of error for its matter. It reveals the principles by which God will judge us,

and therefore is, and shall remain, the true center of Christian union and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried. This Bible is preserved for us without error in the King James Authorized Version of 1611 A.D. Psalm 12:6,7, 119:89; Isaiah 8:20; I Thessalonians 2:13, 5:21; II Timothy 3:15, 16. THE TRUE GOD
There is one, and only one, living and true God, an infinite, intelligent Spirit whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love. In the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption. Exodus 15:11: Pslam 83:18; Matthew 28:19; Mark 12:30; John 1:1-3; 4:24, 10:30; Ephesians 2:18; I John 5:7. DIETY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
The Lord Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary, true God and true man. Matt 1:18-21; John 8:58, 10:30; I Timothy 3:16

THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit of God is co-equal with God, the third member of the Trinity. His present ministries include magnifying the Lord Jesus Christ, convicting the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, comforting and teaching believers, and edifying the Body of Christ. John 16:7-14; Acts 5:1-4

MAN
Man was created in the image of God. Man sinned and thereby incurred spiritual and physical death. Without exception, all men are sinners and have need of the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Genesis 1:26, 2:7; Romans 5:12-18; I Corinthians 15:22

SALVATION
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. He ascended bodily into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the Father and ever liveth to make intercession for all born again believers, thus making them eternally secure. He was, and is our substitutionary atonement for sin. Isaiah 53; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:15-21, 8:33-39, II Corinthians 1:21, 22; Ephesians 1:13, I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:25

THE FREENESS OF SALVATION
Salvation is made free to all who believe the Gospel. Nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own voluntary rejection of the Gospel, which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. John 3:19, 5:40; Romans 16:25-26; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

JUSTIFICATION
The great Gospel blessing, which Christ secures to such as believe in Him, is justification. Justification includes the pardon of sin and the promise of eternal life in principles of righteousness. It is bestowed not in consideration of any work of righteousness which we have done, but solely through faith in the Redeemer’s blood, by virtue of which His perfect righteousness is freely imputed to us of God. Justification brings us into a state of most blessed peace and favor with God. John 1:16; Acts 13:39; Romans 4:4, 5:1, 5.2. SANCTIFICATION
Sanctification is the process by which, according to the will of God, we are made partakers of His holiness. It is a progressive work. It is begun in regeneration and it is carried on in the hearts of believers by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, the Sealer and Comforter, in the continual use of the appointed means- especially the Word of God, self-examination, self-denial, watchfulness and prayer. I Thessalonians 4:3; I John 2:29

PERSONAL SEPARATION
The believer should be separated from the world while being present in the world. He should abstain from all appearances of evil as a testimony to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 10:20; I Thessalonians 5:22; II Timothy 2:15-18, 4: 1-3; Titus 1:9-11, 2:10-15. THE RETURN OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
Prior to the coming period of tribulation described in Revelation chapters 6-18, the Lord Jesus Christ will return for His Church, which will be caught up to meet Him in the clouds. I Corinthians 15:51-58; I Thessalonians 4:13-17. This “rapture” removes the Church before God’s wrath is poured out in the earth during the great tribulation. After the period of tribulation described in Revelation chapters 6-18, the Lord Jesus Christ will return to reign on earth for 1,000 years. This period of time is the millennial reign of Christ. Revelation chapters 19-20; John 14:1-3; Philippians 3:20. DISPENSATIONS
The dispensational division of the Scriptures is a basis for study. Men are saved by grace in every dispensation from Genesis to Revelation, but the test of obedience is different in every dispensation. II Timothy 2:15

THE LOCAL CHURCH
We believe that the New Testament church is a local assembly of believers who have voluntarily joined themselves together. The Lord is doing His work in this world through local churches. The establishment and continuance of local churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures. We believe in the autonomy of the local church free of any external authority or control. Christ is the only head of the church. We recognize the ordinances of baptism by immersion in water and the Lord’s Supper as a Scriptural means of testimony for local churches in this age. Matthew 16:18, 28:19-20; Acts 2:47, 20:28; Romans 16:5; Ephesians 5:23. MISSIONS
God has given missions to proclaim the Gospel to all nations so that there might be a great multitude from every nation, tribe, ethnic group, and language group who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Our ambassadorship must include an effort to win the lost locally and abroad. Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:46-48; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:20

BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER
Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a believer, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost to show forth in a solemn and beautiful emblem of our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Saviour with its effect in our death to sin and resurrection to a new life. The Lord’s Supper, which by the use of bread and new wine commemorates the dying love of Christ, is to be preceded always with solemn self-examination. Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41-42; 8:36-39; Romans 6:4-5; I Corinthians 11:26-28.

We had soul winning training at Temple Baptist Church today with Missionary Joshua Seilala. Twelve student leaders received training in evangelism thanks to three young volunteers from off the streets. They willingly came inside and allowed me to witness to them while simultaneously instructing the class from the Bible. All volunteers said the gospel of grace was new to them. Two young men said they will be thinking about it, and one man trusted Christ as Saviour and prayed to be saved while being counseled after class, one-on-one. Welcome W***y, our new brother in Christ. The Lord is doing great things here!

We were pleased to have the second group of nursing students stay with us during their clinicals. Pictured below is the group on their last night at the mission home. The gospel was just preached and two men raised their hands to recieve Christ as Saviour. After counseling from the Bible they trusted Christ and prayed to be saved. THIS is why the mission home exists!

This is a very special photo! Sarah (pictured left) has been a church member for 25 years. She heard the gospel many years ago and acknowledged the fact that Jesus died to pay for her sins; however, has since suffered with doubts about salvation. Yesterday, at our fellowship meeting, she confessed that she had been “hoping to be good enough” to go to heaven and had been fighting conviction over the last few months. She surrendered to the Lord and received Him as her Saviour. The couple (pictured right) also trusted Christ and prayed to be saved. They had come from a long ways for a chance to hear the true gospel, and the spirit of the Lord met with them at the reading of His word.

Our third soul winning lesson at the mission home went very well. Preacher John came by with his wife and daughters. A guest who is studying to become a nurse willingly let me share the gospel with her so the others could listen. She realized she had been mixing works and grace and, after the Holy Spirit worked in her heart, she trusted Christ as Saviour and prayed to be saved.

Today, I took a team from Highlands Baptist Bible College in a Land Cruiser into a very mountainous region of Jimi to share the gospel, distribute gospel tracts, and hand out English/Pidgin John and Romans side-by-side. At three schools, we were able to gather all the children and present them with the truth! This area is filled with works-based religions, so the gospel of grace is still new here. We are in a season of tilling hard ground, planting seeds, and waiting on a harvest.

At one school, when I asked, “When will you accept God’s free gift of salvation?” a young man named Eqvarts, standing in the front row, boldly exclaimed, “Now!” I am always careful when witnessing to children to ensure they understand the gospel fully and are not led into a false conversion. I took him aside while the others finished the ceremony, and with tears in his eyes, he trusted Christ as his Saviour, fully grasping the meaning of salvation. The joy of the Lord filled his heart.

This evening, his father called me, asking questions about how he too could be saved. Also, the college students who participated in the outreach were deeply affected, seeing firsthand the importance of correct soul-winning and the willingness to go wherever the Lord leads.

Our evangelism training is going well! Today, two ladies from Temple Baptist came to the mission home to sharpen their soul winning skills. They want to effectively share the gospel to school children during the CCVE programs. The first man willing to participate, named William, got saved! Secondly, two young ladies listened to the gospel. They expressed interest in the trusting Christ but no decisions were made.

Meet a new brother in Christ, Joshua. He is a Seventh Day Adventist preacher. Today he & his wife saw from the Bible that no man can be justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ. When they understood that the blood of Christ is complete and sufficient for salvation, you could see their chains fall off and their eyes opened by the grace of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was gifted a King Jems Tok Pisin Bible with many salvation verses highlighted. He said he must go “clean his hands” by preaching this truth to the congregation who are trusting in good works for salvation.

We have started soul winning training/encouragement Temple Baptist Church in Mt. Hagen. At Pastor Camulus’ direction I will be teaching biblical evangelism from the scriptures during the Sunday School hour. Additionally, every week, small teams of two or three will accompany me to the streets to see real-life gospel conversations.

Today, Missionary Joshua Seilala came to the missionary house with his wife Brenda. Stenis also came to learn more about evangelism. I went to the streets and met Kingston and Geshom- two young men willing to participate in our practical study. They came inside the missionary house and listened to the gospel explained as I dually instructed the viewers from the Bible as to “why” I ask the questions that I ask.

The Holy Spirit convicted their hearts of sin. They each Christ as Saviour and prayed to be saved. We spent more time counseling them from the Bible without everyone watching. The joy of the Lord filled their hearts and gave them assurance of salvation.

They will be attending church Sunday morning. Pray for these men as they begin their new lives in Christ, and pray for the viewers to be strengthened and encouraged as we go forward. The fields are white unto harvest but the laborers are few. Let’s make a plan and go get ‘em!
