The 2026 Mesa Easter Pageant, "Jesus the Christ," depicts the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This free, 70-minute outdoor musical production is recognized as the world's largest annual outdoor Easter pageant. It features over 400 cast members, live animals, and special effects.
It will take place nightly at 8pm on the north lawn of the Mesa Arizona Temple from March 25-April 4, 2026 (except Sunday and Monday).

The Borderlands event scheduled for 2-28 at our meetinghouse on Sarival has been CANCELLED due to not having enough produce. If you have volunteered- THANK YOU! We hope you'll consider signing up for another event.

This Saturday, February 28th we will be hosting 4 Borderlands' P.O.W.W.O.W. distribution events; find us in Green Valley, Scottsdale, Tempe and Northern Arizona. We did have to cancel events in Buckeye, Surprise and Tucson. Still not enough produce to host all of our planned events, so sorry for the folks we'll be missing out on!!

Check back on Thursday for a full list of produce varieties at each event location. What we give you on Saturday will be based on what we rescue this week so we don't quite know just yet what we'll have for you.

At our Green Valley, Tempe or Scottsdale event you can make a $15 cash donation on Saturday to rescue an up to 70lb box. For our Northern Arizona event we are only accepting reservations.

Below is a heartfelt invitation from our inspired stake president.

Dear Brothers and Sisters -

I would like to invite you to spend some time studying two recent devotional messages—one from President Dallin H. Oaks at BYU, and another from Elder Neil L. Andersen at BYU–Idaho.

We live in a remarkably blessed time. Never before has it been so easy to access the words of living prophets and apostles. To hear President Oaks teach with prophetic clarity, and then to have Elder Andersen carefully and thoughtfully help us dive deeper into those teachings, is both inspiring and instructive. I have felt impressed—urgently impressed—to share these messages with the Surprise Arizona Stake of Zion so that we might study and learn these principles together.

At the heart of our discipleship is a desire to align our lives with the words of the Lord’s servants. We seek the companionship of the Holy Ghost. We know from the sacrament prayers that as we are willing to take upon us the name of Jesus Christ, always remember Him, and keep His commandments, the promised blessing is that we may always have His Spirit to be with us. That companionship is not just comforting—it is imperative in the world we live in today.

As we endeavor to follow the Savior—to do what He does and become more like He is—these two talks can serve as pivotal, foundational, and instructive guides. They point us in a sure direction toward Jesus Christ. Together, as a stake family, we are striving to pattern our lives after the Master, and prophetic counsel helps us know how to do that with greater clarity and confidence.

I encourage you to study these messages personally and in your homes. Pray about what the Lord would have you learn and do. I know that as we listen to prophetic voices and act on what we hear, we invite the Spirit of God into our lives and into our stake.

As Mary Magdalene and her companions mournfully approached the Garden Tomb, two angels appeared to them and shared the clarion call of all Christianity:

"Why seek ye the living among the dead?"

"He is not here, but is risen" (Luke 24:5-6).

This Easter season we also joyfully testify of this same eternal truth—Jesus Christ is risen. He lives!

The Savior of the world was crucified and, on the third day, rose from the dead, "the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:20). His Resurrection allows all to be resurrected, and through His grace, we can find peace "which passeth all understanding" (Philippians 4:7) and "be perfected in him" (Moroni 10:32).

We invite each of you during this Easter season to "seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written" (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that "death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory" ("He Is Risen!" Hymns, no. 199).
