When a relationship is broken, forgiveness only requires one person, but reconciliation requires both. Thankfully, there's no broken relationship that God can't restore! When we really believe that, true forgiveness leads us to look for real heart change that leads to real life change and ultimately produces real relationship change.

If so, it will show up in thankfulness: not just thankfulness in spite of your suffering, but even thankfulness for it.
