At Hope Church this weekend we were so glad to hear an update from Empower One, our global partner, and pray for our local missionaries who work for this amazing organization!
Empower One is planting 15 Flagship ministry centers that train leaders, send church planters, and reach the unreached. Four are complete. They support pastors and leaders on the ground in South Sudan, Sudan, and DR Congo. Providing training, transportation, ministry operations, and church planting, wherever the need is greatest.

How do we let Jesus rule our communication?

1. Stop and name the fruit.

2. What was the root that caused the fruit?

3. Identify the lie you believed.
• Did I feel I had to force my own way?
• Was I terrified of what someone thought of me?
• Was I grumbling because I felt cheated?
• Was I harsh because I felt superior?

4. Apply the gospel to the heart idol
• God is Great - You can surrender control and speak gently.
• God is Glorious - You are already approved in Christ and
don't need to lie or defend yourself.
• God is Good - You can stop complaining and give thanks.
• God is Gracious - You can extend unearned mercy to others.
