Church, I'm like a horse waiting at the gate for the gate to open and run its race. I'm ready for tomorrow. I'm standing at the gate of His Sanctuary - waiting to enter in.
Tomorrow, is our last message for the worship series: Tomorrow, we learn how to endure and worship in the hard times.

Come and learn what it means: It Matters Where We Sit!

Your hard place may carry scars. It may carry tears. But it will also carry something it didn't have before: the testimony of a God who was faithful in the darkness.

This is a message that you do not want to miss. In person. Online - God has a message for anyone who feels they are in a hard and lonely place. Come and worship with us on the hill and find your joy again. Find your song again! God is waiting for you.

Good morning, church and community! Special news: We will be holding an immersion baptism at Atwood Lake at the beach on this coming Monday, Sept 14th in the late afternoon at 5:30 pm. If this is something you have thought about and would like to have this opportunity, please instant message me, or call the church office and leave a message. I will get back with you with the details Also, please know if you have been baptized, I do not rebaptize you, this is for you to reaffirm your baptism. Some folk, being an infant, have no recollection, and now that are older and understand faith, some like to have the experience so they can remember it, and it is very personal with the person and God.

It will be an afternoon of worship, music, love, and Scripture.

Greetings church!

I am excited to join with you tomorrow in worship!

The enemy is a thief and he comes to steal our joy, he comes to steal our peace, he just likes to disrupt our lives and make us feel
down and out.

And sometimes, worship is hard because there can be discord in the atmosphere, there can be a feeling that something isn't right, and it just can set us off into a place where we want to hang up our harps.

Tomorrow, I want you to come to worship.
I want you to watch online if you can't be in worship because tomorrow we're talking about letting God tune the strings of our heart.

I think our hearts can get out of tune with God and with others. Yet the Bible tells us that we are to greet one another with Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs making melody in our hearts to the Lord.

Maybe the Holy Spirit is showing you that a string is gone flat. Maybe the string has become too tight.

Come and let the Lord tune your heart and help you to feel back in tune with the Lord.

Much of my theology has been steeped in the teachings of John Wesley. John was a passionate worshiper with a brother, Charles, who wrote many of the hymns that we still sing today even though they were written back in the 1800s.
John Wesley was passionate about the truth of God's Word. His heart was strangely warmed while on a boat with a bunch of Moravians when a huge storm came upon them and he was frightened, but the Moravians were singing and praising God, and John wondered what he was missing.

So he went to a revival, and his heart was strangely warmed, and there he felt that he truly belonged to Jesus Christ.
And then he began to create small groups, and he was traveling speaking and praying even at cemeteries, and on top of gravestones about Jesus Christ and His love for us.

Wesley moved from Jesus only being his Savior, to also being his Lord. John
Wesley surrendered his life to Christ giving him ultimate authority over his life, and the following is John Wesley's covenant that he made with God.

I hope that we, too, will take this to heart, and may it be our covenant with God as well....

I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee,
exalted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
thou art mine, and I am thine.
So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
let it be ratified in heaven.
Amen.

Good morning, church!
Tomorrow, we will continue our sermon series on true worshipers. We are learning how God wants us to worship Him not only with our music and our gifts... but with our very lives.
Tomorrow we will be looking at the mercies of our Lord, and the beauty of His Holiness, for how can we see such a merciful Lord and not bow down and offer him our praise, our worship, and our very lives. We look forward to seeing you.
Come, worship on the hill with us
Breakfast is at 9:15, with worship at 10:00.

Songs we are singing:
Great is Thy Faithfulness
There is a Fountain
Amazing Grace
