How do you picture God? How do you picture something that is beyond comprehension? God revealed himself in Jesus, but that raises more questions. We know Jesus is God, yet he prays to the Father as God and promises to send the Holy Spirit as God.
God is not some distant lone tyrant, he is our loving Triune Lord. He brings his people together into one church in his love and works all things together for our salvation.

Unity in the Love of the Trinity
In His Love
By His Blessings

We believe in the triune God. He is the only true God. The festival of the Holy Trinity is a time to celebrate God revealing himself to us as one God in three persons. The triune God wants his people to teach this mystery in its biblical truth and purity.
This festival of the Holy Trinity begins the second half of the Church Year with a proclamation of people being baptized and blessed in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the only true God.

The order of service is Setting 1
The hymns are
Opening Hymn: B483 – Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty
Hymn of the Day: B586 – Come, Holy Ghost, Creator Blest
Third Hymn: B612 – How Great Thou Art
Closing Hymn: B617 – Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow
Psalm 8

The readings are from
Genesis 1:1–2:3 – The triune God demonstrates his power at creation.
2 Corinthians 13:11-14 – By sharing his grace, love, and fellowship, the triune God gives us unity and peace.
Matthew 28:16-20 – Jesus calls us to do ministry in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Pentecost is the day of the church year that we most celebrate the Holy Spirit. We marvel at the signs of him coming, and rejoice at the birth of the Christian Church. But today we don't see tongues of fire or dozens of ethnicities all hearing their native languages from the mouths of untrained fishermen. This does not mean that the Spirit is not with us, or that we do not have his gifts.
As we celebrate Pentecost and the birth of the Christian Church, we rejoice in the Gift of the Spirit;
From One Lord
for One Church.

The basis of the sermon is 1 Corinthians 12:3-11

Ascension is probably not the first thing to come to mind when imagining import holy days of the church year. It's not clear to many why we celebrate it or what it means.
Ascension is not Jesus abandoning the disciples, but rather the promise that he would be with them always.

What does Jesus ascension mean?
Jesus rules for us
Jesus will Return for us

The basis of the sermon is Acts 1:1-11.

Being a Christian seems like it should be easy, But Christians can easily be seen suffering, persecuted, and rejected. But this is not a failure, as if only "bad" Christians suffer. No, even in suffering we are blessed by our Lord.
As we place our trust in the Lord, we hear his call to Live out our baptism in Suffering
Living in Hope
Living in Christ

The basis of the sermon is 1 Peter 3:13-22.

There are many things in our lives that are easily replaceable. Everything from work, to ingredients, to even knees and some body parts can be replaced. But there are also things that cannot be replaced; artifacts, treasures, family members and friends cannot be so easily replaced.
We have something even more valuable and precious. Jesus Christ is unique. There is no other savior, no other foundation that can replace him.

No Other Name
The Rejected Stone
The Only Savior

The basis of the sermon is Acts 4:8-12.

No man is an island. Everyone is influenced by others, especially those above them.
For us, Jesus is our God and Lord, our teacher and Savior. And as he bring out, he is our good shepherd. As we follow him, we learn and grow in him. We Live in the Good Shepherd, Hearing him, and Living in Him.

The basis of the sermon is John 10:1-10

Verse of the Day - 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Verse of the Day - 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
