Please join us for a Workshop for Congregational Renewal in our Sabbatical Season with
SARAH B. DRUMMOND
Sarah is the Founding Dean of Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. Deeply rooted in Christian faith and radically open to what
God is doing now, Sarah Drummond is one of the leading voices educating and inspiring leaders to be a force for good in our ever-changing world.
Spiritual “Spring Cleaning” for a Summer of Renewal:
Discernment as a Faith Practice.
Two of the most important words in the vocabulary of Christian spirituality are “yes” and “no.” We flourish when we say yes to what gives us life and no to what separates us from God, neighbor, and the best version of ourselves. Discernment is the spiritual exercise that strengthens our yes-and-no muscles,
helping us hear God’s voice and sense the direction in which our joys, gifts, and commitments are pointing us. Sarah B. Drummond will offer a workshop
on discernment that will help us clear out the clutter of that to which we must say no, making space for our yesses this summer.
