Maybe God has felt distant to you. Maybe you’ve been wandering, and the path of righteousness seems far away. Maybe you’re in a dark valley right now, and peace feels impossible.

There is a Good Shepherd who knows you by name. He created you. He’s not distant nor disinterested. He’s pursuing you with goodness and loyal love, ready to restore your soul and lead you beside still waters.

Rather than promising to remove all our difficulties, God promises something better: His abiding presence. We are not called just to love the green pastures, but to love the Good Shepherd Himself.

This week we're meditating on Psalm 23.
We learn that we have all we need, that we can trust our Good Shepherd, and that His promises are what we can bank on.

Here is some more related scripture for you to spend time in this week:
“In Thy presence is fullness of joy, At Thy right hand are pleasures forever.”
--Psalm 16:11

“Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
--Matthew 11:28

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
--Psalm 119:105

“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the pads for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
--Proverbs 4:25–27

“Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.”
--Peter 2:25

We pray these meet you where you are at this week, turn your heart towards The Good Shepherd, and lift your eyes to where your help and promises come from: Him!
