Chansisamakidham Temple

Chansisamakidham Temple Theravada Buddhism is a sacred place where people come to practice the teachings of the Buddha focusing on compassion, mindfulness, and inner peace.

It serves as a spiritual home for the community, offering a space for meditation, prayer, and reflection. One of his students asked Buddha, "Are you the messiah?"
"No", answered Buddha. "Then are you a healer?"
"No", Buddha replied. "Then are you a teacher?" the student persisted. "No, I am not a teacher." "Then what are you?" asked the student, exasperated. "I am awake", Buddha replied.

We appear to demonstrate our affection and solidarity for our community. Our heritage is deeply rooted in both Thailand and Cambodia. Our ancestors originated from Laos and Thailand, escaped conflict, and subsequently settled in Cambodia during the late 19th century, within my family. Nevertheless, for numerous decades, Thai/Lao (Nyaw) has been our mother tongue in my household and numerous others. This singular fact narrates a profound story that this dispute has persisted for as long as I can recall being informed. I advocate for peace. My thoughts are with the families and friends residing on both sides of the Thailand-Cambodia border. It is the ordinary people who endure suffering while governmental disputes remain unresolved. We share a rich cultural heritage, religious traditions, historical ties, and profound connections. We are neighbors akin to siblings. We desire peace, not conflict.
