Most churches' outreach programs are dismal failures. Why? Because they teach a non disciple soterian gospel with no power. If pastors will get anointed by the Holy Spirit and preach the gospel that Jesus preached their congregation would get so filled with God that they would knock the doors down to get out and tell the Gospel and disciple people everywhere they go. Every church would fill up and have to start a building program to be able to hold the new believers. Selah!

Holiness isn't about obeying a bunch of rules or wearing a bun on your head (like our Grandmas used to do. Holiness is about loving Jesus so intensely that it physically hurts. Are you holy today?

If you stumble, get up. If you sin, repent. Whatever you do, in spite of your feelings, do not lose your vision of attaining Christ's likeness. Your vision is your surest hope. Without prophetic vision, you are blind – Selah!

The latest stats show that 51% of those who go to church in America do not understand what the “Great Commission” is [Barna]. 80% of American churches report that their attendance is plateauing or declining. Of the 20% that are reporting growth, 17% say their growth is due to transfer or migration, while 3% are growing due to evangelism. What can be done to turn this around? Only one thing, a return to the biblical, apostolic Gospel that was taught by Jesus, Paul, and the rest of the New Testament authors, that results in not just a head knowledge, but a heart knowledge that results in a life transformation, accompanied by the power of the Holy Spirit again being a prerequisite to all ministry. Don't wait on someone else to lead the way; seek God until you can't sleep at night for interceding for the lost and for the Holy Spirit to anoint you afresh and then go to a lost and dying world and be the light and salt! Selah!

Someone might ask if it is OK for churches to use hymns in their corporate gatherings. Only if they are accompanied by extravagant demonstrative worship, the gifts of the Spirit, and kingdom signs and worship. If those Kingdom dynamics aren't being manifested, then table the hymns and sing worship songs - songs that are to God not songs that are about God. Then when God shows up in the midst of worship if you want to throw in an occasional hymn every now and again that will be OK. Selah!

We are told that Mary chose the good portion, and that portion will not be taken away from her (Lk. 10:42). Jesus is calling you to do the same. No one can choose this for you. Mary's good choice was sustained throughout her life (Dan. 1:21; 6:10; Ps. 27:4). Selah!
