SUMC is excited to announce the launch of Be the Light Learning & Leadership program, a new intergenerational after-school ministry designed to support local elementary students while creating meaningful leadership opportunities for middle and high school youth. Inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:13-16-the call to be salt and light in the world-and modeled in part after the successful SALT tutoring and mentoring program at St. John's in Stewartville, Be the Light grew from a conversation about the needs of local third and fourth grade students.

Register your 3rd or 4th grader today. Sessions begin in October!

We're in the beginning stages of a cookbook fundraiser, and we need recipes! The books will be printed and ready for sale by early January, but there's a lot of behind-the-scenes work to do before that can happen.
