For 50 years, Steubenville Youth Conferences have helped young Catholics encounter Jesus Christ—and for some, that encounter has changed the entire course of their lives.

A new CARA survey found that 18% of priests ordained in 2026 attended a Steubenville Youth Conference during their vocational journey, more than any other Catholic conference ministry in the United States.

In a new story from EWTN News, Father Rufino Corona, TOR, and Deacon Arthur Bodenschatz share how their experiences at Steubenville helped open their hearts to the priesthood—from witnessing joyful priests on fire for the Gospel to encountering Jesus in the Eucharist during Saturday night adoration.

After 50 years and more than 1 million young people reached, the fruit continues.

In April, the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate’s (CARA) survey was released and showed that 18% of priests ordained this year attended a Franciscan University of Steubenville Youth Conference during their vocational journey. This was more than any other Catholic conference ministry in the United States.

In previous years — specifically from 2010 to 2025 — this percentage ranged between 8% to 16%.
