Have you ever waited on God to keep a promise?

Abraham knew what it was like to trust God when the future seemed uncertain. He left everything familiar with nothing but God's promise to guide him. Years later, God proved faithful.

This Sunday at Midway Methodist Church, we'll explore Romans 4:13–25 and Genesis 12:1–9 in a message titled **"A Promise Kept."**

Together we'll discover:
✨ Why God's promises can be trusted even when circumstances seem impossible
✨ How faith grows stronger through waiting
✨ How Jesus is the fulfillment of God's greatest promise

As we gather at the Lord's Table for Holy Communion, we'll remember that every promise God has made finds its "Yes" in Christ.

No matter what you're facing today, God's faithfulness has not failed.

✨ 3 Ways to Apply Sunday’s Message: *I Once Was Blind, But Now I See* ✨

1️⃣ Stop asking “Who deserves help?” and start showing grace.
Jesus didn’t stop to debate why the man was suffering. He saw a need and responded with compassion. We are called to reflect that same grace to others.

2️⃣ Take the next step of faith.
The blind man did not have all the answers. He simply obeyed Jesus and went to wash. Faith often begins with one simple step of trust.

3️⃣ Stay open to how God wants to work.
The religious leaders missed what God was doing because it did not fit their expectations. Don’t put limits on what God can do or where He can show up.

💡 “I was blind, but now I see.”

Yesterday we were reminded that Jesus does not stand at a distance waiting for us to have everything figured out. He comes near. He sees us. He moves toward us with grace.

God’s grace meets us right where we are — in the ordinary places, the messy places, and even the places we feel unseen.

Where have you seen God’s grace at work in your life this week?

📻 Now Available: Our Old-Time Radio Reading of John 9! 🎙️

If you missed Sunday's worship service—or if you'd like to experience it again—we invite you to listen to our special old-time radio presentation of John 9.

Journey with us through the powerful story of a man born blind whose encounter with Jesus changed everything. Through Scripture, music, and a vintage radio-style drama, this familiar passage comes to life in a fresh way.

John 9 reminds us that God's grace is already at work before we even realize it. Jesus sees people others overlook, meets us where we are, and opens our eyes to who He truly is.

As the healed man boldly declared:

"I was blind, but now I see."

🎶 “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord… I want to see You.” 🎶

The man in John 9 received more than physical sight — he came to truly see Jesus. Sometimes our greatest need is not better vision for our eyes, but clearer vision for our hearts.

As we prepare for Trinity Sunday and our special old-time radio reading of John 9, take a moment to worship and pray these words over your life today:

“Open the eyes of my heart, Lord.”

May God help us see His grace, recognize His presence, and trust Him in ways we never have before.

Listen and worship with us today. 🕊️

🌟 Trinity Sunday Fun Fact! 🌟

Did you know that God is ONE God in THREE Persons? That’s called the Trinity!

👑 God the Father – He made us and loves us.
✝️ Jesus the Son – He came to save us and show us how to live.
🕊️ The Holy Spirit – He helps guide us every day.

Think of it like this: the Trinity is one God working together in perfect love. Even though it can be hard to understand, we can remember this: God is always with us!

❤️ Father
❤️ Son
❤️ Holy Spirit

“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” — 2 Corinthians 13:14

🎙️📻 This Sunday at Midway Methodist Church, we’re stepping back in time for a special worship experience!

For Trinity Sunday, we’ll present an old-time radio reading of John 9 — the powerful story of a man born blind whose life was forever changed by an encounter with Jesus.

As the sounds of a vintage radio broadcast bring Scripture to life, we’ll discover a truth that still speaks today: sometimes the people who think they see clearly miss what God is doing, while those who recognize their need discover the light of Christ.

Can Jesus still open eyes today? Can He help us see grace, truth, and His presence in a new way?

Join us as we hear the unforgettable testimony:

“I was blind, but now I see.”

3 Ways to Apply Sunday’s Message: The Spirit Poured Out 🔥🕊️

1️⃣ Rest in God’s shelter.
Life can feel like a battle, but God never intended for us to carry every burden alone. Spend time with Him this week — not just in moments of crisis, but by dwelling daily in His presence.

2️⃣ Ask God to renew the fire.
Maybe your faith has started to feel routine or distant. Take time to pray: “Lord, pour Yourself out on me again. Give me more of You.”

3️⃣ Use the gifts God has given you.
You do not have to preach to thousands like Peter. Encourage someone, serve a neighbor, pray with a friend, show kindness, or share your story. The Holy Spirit fills us so we can point others to Jesus.

“The shelter is open. The fire is still burning. And today, the Spirit is still being poured out.”

Let us take a moment during the National Moment of Remembrance to remember those who sacrificed everything to ensure our freedom. As we honor their service and sacrifice, may we also remember the words of Jesus: 'Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.' — John 15:13"

Today is Memorial Day and we would like to take a moment to remembe...
