06/01/2026
Yesterday marked a very special milestone for us: the one-year anniversary of Legacy of the Rose opening its doors.
As I reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude. What began as a vision for a more accessible, inclusive, and community-centered healing space has grown into something far greater than I could have imagined. We have shared laughter, tears, healing, learning, meaningful conversations, and countless moments of connection. It has been an honor to witness this community come together and to have the opportunity to offer this gift to Staunton and the surrounding areas.
Thank you to everyone who has attended an event, volunteered, shared a post, brought a friend, taught a class, rented a room, donated, or simply believed in what we are building. Legacy of the Rose exists because of community, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.
As we enter our second year, I am excited to continue expanding opportunities for connection, education, healing, and growth.
Looking for Community Voices
One of the things I would love to bring more of into the center is cultural education and connection. We are currently looking for first-generation immigrants who would be interested in sharing about their culture, traditions, values, and experiences with our community. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, I would love to connect with you.
Practitioner Networking Series
We are also seeking local practitioners who would like to be featured in our Practitioner Networking Series. This is an opportunity to share about the work you do, connect with community members, and build relationships with other practitioners in the area. Whether you offer wellness services, creative arts, coaching, healing modalities, or another community-focused service, we would love to hear from you.
Coming Soon
Keep an eye out for a few offerings that will be announced soon and are not yet listed on the website:
• Practitioner Networking Highlight Series
• Trauma Informed: More Than a Trend — a community seminar exploring what it really means to be trauma-informed and why it matters
Acu-Wellness Update
Acu-Wellness (NADA Protocol) continues to grow, and I am officially halfway through the 40 sessions required to complete the training period.
Until those sessions are completed, treatments will continue to be offered free of charge.
Beginning immediately, Acu-Wellness Clinic Hours will be available:
• Every Friday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Every other Sunday from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Sunday Reset weeks
Once the training period is complete, this service will become donation-based with a recommended donation of $5–$20 per session to help support continued community access.
New Workshops & Community Events
We have several exciting new offerings happening this month:
Beginner Guided Meditation Group
Curious about meditation but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly group will explore practical meditation and mindfulness techniques in a welcoming environment. No experience is necessary.
Cord Cutting Workshop: Do Your Own Cord Cutting
This experiential workshop explores the practice of energetic cord cutting and offers participants an opportunity to release unhealthy attachments, old patterns, and relationships that no longer serve their highest good through reflection, intention, and ritual.
Game Night: Cards Against Humanity (18+)
Looking for something a little lighter? Join us for an evening of laughter, connection, and unapologetically inappropriate humor. Bring a friend and get ready for a fun night with the community.
Welcoming New Faces
We are excited to welcome some wonderful new offerings to Legacy of the Rose this month.
Donna and Ellie will be leading a Vipassana Collective Insight Meditation Group, offering an opportunity to explore mindfulness, presence, and deeper self-awareness through the practice of insight meditation.
And our Official Chaos Coordinator, Sherry, will be bringing creativity and fun to the center with Chaos on Canvas, a paint pouring workshop designed to help participants let go of perfection, embrace the creative process, and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
We Want to Hear From You
Legacy of the Rose has always been shaped by the needs and interests of the community. If there is a class, workshop, support group, speaker, social gathering, or event you would like to see offered, please reach out to Ashley. Many of our best ideas have come directly from community members.
Thank you for being part of this journey. I am excited to see what we create together in year two.
With gratitude,
Ashley Hallman
