Our Men’s Fellowship Group brings together members of the Men’s Bible Study, Men’s Covenant Group, and any other men in the church who would like to join for food, fellowship, and time together on the fifth Monday of the month.

This month, a few of the men spent part of their time serving at a Habitat for Humanity home. It was a wonderful opportunity to work together, serve our community, and enjoy some fellowship along the way.

They’re already planning to do another service project on Monday, November 30!

If you’re interested in getting involved with the Men’s Fellowship Group, reach out to the church office, and we’ll be happy to connect you with the right people.

LOGOS & FISH Registration is OPEN!

We’re excited to kick off another great year of children and youth programs at SCPC!

LOGOS is our midweek program for children and youth in grades 1–8, featuring Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation/Activities, and Dinner.

📅 Klondike Kickoff: Tuesday, September 15 at 6:30 pm
Our kickoff is for both parents and children/youth!

FISH is our high school youth group, meeting on selected Thursday evenings from 6:00–8:00 pm.

📅 First FISH Gathering: Thursday, September 10

9/3 Labor 1-2:30 PM (ET)

Our building got a little louder yesterday with kids’ laughs and giggles…and maybe a few tears. ❤️ Stay and Play is back!

Pappy Todd is especially excited to have Parker here every day at Stay and Play, and we love seeing all the smiling faces back in our building.

We’re so excited for another wonderful year of learning, playing, and growing together!

🎉 Congratulations to Laura E-H on 5 years as our Chrysalis Coordinator!

We are so grateful for Laura and all the time, energy, and care she gives to our youth and the LOGOS program. Thank you, Laura, for all you do to support and encourage our young people and for being such an important part of SCPC! ❤️

Yesterday, we celebrated Deannine Shipman and the incredible impact she has made during her 28 years as our Director of Education and Program at SCPC. ❤️

It was a beautiful morning celebrating Deannine during worship and Coffee Hour and recognizing the many ways she has loved, taught, encouraged, and cared for generations of children, youth, and families in our church.

We will miss Miss Deannine very much, but we are so grateful for the many years she has shared her gifts with SCPC. We wish her all the best as she begins this next chapter!

Thank you, Deannine, for 28 wonderful years! ❤️

Our Young at Heart group had a wonderful gathering this past Friday! We welcomed two officers from the State College Police Department who shared helpful information about scams that are becoming more common. They answered lots of questions and gave everyone some great tips on how to recognize and avoid scams. Thank you to the officers for spending the evening with us!

Young at Heart is one of our small group offerings for adults 55 and older. The group meets on the fourth Friday of each month in the Social Hall for a potluck dinner, fellowship, and a different presentation each month.

If you’re 55 or older, we would love to have you join us at our next gathering!
