✝️ Congratulations, Norah! ✝️

Our St. Simon parish family joins in celebrating a very special milestone in the life of Norah Brym (Granddaughter of Jim and Pat Tornatore), who recently received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion.

What a beautiful reminder of God's grace and love at work in the lives of our young people. We congratulate Norah, her parents Nik and Gina, her godparents Michelle McCraw and Bill Murphy, and all of her family as they celebrate these special moments of faith.

Please join us in praying that Norah continues to grow in her relationship with Christ and remains close to Him throughout her life.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Ephrem the Syrian, Deacon and Doctor of the Church.

Known as the “Harp of the Holy Spirit,” Saint Ephrem used poetry, hymns, and profound wisdom to teach the faith and glorify God. His writings continue to inspire Christians around the world to seek truth, humility, and a deeper love for Christ.

May Saint Ephrem intercede for us, that our words may always reflect God’s love and that we may grow in wisdom and holiness each day.

“Grant me, O Lord, to see my own sins and not to judge my brother.”

Saint Ephrem the Syrian, pray for us!

This weekend we celebrate Corpus Christi—the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

In the Holy Eucharist, Jesus does not simply remind us of His love; He gives Himself completely to us. Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, Christ remains with His Church, nourishing us, strengthening us, and drawing us into deeper communion with Him.

As we gather at Mass and adore Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, may our hearts echo the words of St. Peter: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

Jesus in the Eucharist, increase our faith, deepen our hope, and inflame our love.

"O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine."

❤️🙏 Join St. Simon the Apostle Parish in Praying the USCCB Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus! 🙏❤️

As our nation prepares for the historic Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we invite all parishioners to join us in praying the USCCB Novena to the Sacred Heart.

📩 Each day of the novena, you will receive the daily prayer through Flocknote. (Printed copies are available in the parish office by request). We encourage everyone in our parish family to pray along with us as one community, entrusting our hearts, our families, our parish, and our nation to the loving Heart of Christ.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a powerful reminder of God's infinite love, mercy, and compassion. Through this novena, let us ask the Lord to renew our faith, strengthen our families, and draw us ever closer to Him.

⛪ Whether you pray at home, at work, or before the Blessed Sacrament, we hope you will join us each day and unite your prayers with those of Catholics across the country.

❤️ Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
❤️ Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place our trust in You.

Join us in praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 3 -11 as we prepare for the Consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart.

❤️🙌 Simon Servants – Community Outreach was busy again in March, serving our neighbors through TWO incredible outreach events!

🍽️ On March 18th, 30 amazing volunteers shared their time, talent, food, and financial support at Sts. Peter & Paul in Soulard. Together, they served dinner to 130 people in need. This ministry would not be possible without the support of our entire parish family. Thank you for your generosity!

🏠 On March 31st, Simon Servants traveled to Hope Lodge, a ministry that provides lodging and meals for adult cancer patients and their caregivers while they receive treatment in the St. Louis area.

🍲 With the help of 10 volunteers, St. Simon prepared and served a home-cooked meal for 80 guests. Beyond the meal itself, volunteers provided encouragement, compassion, and a reminder that no one walks their journey alone.

💙 Every ingredient purchased for this dinner was made possible through the generous donations of St. Simon parishioners to Simon Servants – Community Outreach.

Thank you to everyone who supports this ministry through your prayers, donations, and volunteer service. Together, we are making a difference and bringing Christ's love to those who need it most.

❤️ June: The Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️

As Catholics, we dedicate the month of June to the Sacred Heart of Jesus—a beautiful reminder of Christ’s infinite love, mercy, and compassion for each of us.

The Sacred Heart symbolizes the heart of our Savior, burning with love for humanity and inviting us to draw closer to Him. In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, the Sacred Heart calls us to trust in God’s mercy, deepen our prayer life, and share Christ’s love with others.

This month, let us spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart, and ask Jesus to make our hearts more like His—humble, compassionate, and full of charity.

“Sacred Heart of Jesus, we place our trust in You.”

May the Sacred Heart bless you and your families throughout this month of June. ❤️🙏

This weekend, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity—the central mystery of our faith and of the Christian life.

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches:

“The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life. It is the mystery of God in Himself.” (CCC 234)

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one God—three Divine Persons united in perfect love. Through Baptism, we have been welcomed into this divine life and marked forever in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

Every Mass begins and ends with the Trinity. Every Sign of the Cross is a profession of faith in the Triune God. Today, let us give thanks for the gift of knowing the God who has revealed Himself to us and who calls us into communion with Him.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. ✝️

On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Catholic bishops of the United States will consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We are pleased to share that St. Simon the Apostle Parish will be joining Catholics across the country in this special act of faith, entrusting our nation, our communities, and our families to the loving Heart of Christ.

The Sacred Heart reminds us of Jesus' boundless love, mercy, and desire to draw all people closer to Him. As we celebrate this historic moment, let us pray for our nation, for peace in our world, and for the renewal of faith in every heart.

🙏 Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

On February 18th, Simon Servants returned to Sts. Peter & Paul to continue serving our community in need. Thanks to the generosity of 35 amazing volunteers — both those who served in person and those who donated — we were able to provide 110 meals that evening!

Since our service night fell on Ash Wednesday, we served fish instead of the usual meat entrée as we began the Lenten season together in prayer, sacrifice, and service.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Simon Servants through your time, talent, and treasure. Your kindness is truly making a difference in the lives of others!
