Maiden Lane Church of God

Maiden Lane Church of God We're a group of people who love God, love each other and want to serve our community.

At Maiden Lane, you'll find a group of Christ-followers who help people connect to faith, fellowship and mission. We worship Sundays at 10:30 am, meet Wednesday nights for growth and connection, and serve our community as often as we can.

Ever feel stuck in the mud of life? This Sunday we explored an incredible truth: we don't come to Jesus because we've finished the race perfectly. We come covered in mud, needing His cleansing.

Isaiah 43:25 reminds us: "I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins." God doesn't just forgive, He completely erases our past. Not because we earned it, but because forgiveness is His very nature.

Here's the beautiful part: while some of us are thriving and others are struggling, we're all running together toward the same goal, Jesus. And just like those mud run participants who stopped to help others through obstacles, that's what the church does. We show up right when someone needs help.

You can't buy, earn, or work your way into God's grace. Jesus already paid it all. The only question is: will you accept it?

The Kingdom of God is HERE. Not just coming someday, but breaking into our world through Jesus Christ.

Jesus healed the sick, opened blind eyes, cast out demons, and raised the dead, proving the King had arrived. And He’s still moving today.

At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out, showing that God doesn’t just dwell among His people, He dwells within them. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now empowers us to live as citizens of Heaven on earth.

Where the Spirit is, the Kingdom of God is. Chains break, lives are transformed, and the presence of the King changes everything.

You were made for MORE.

Are you living in the reality of His Kingdom? Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6), submit to the King, and watch darkness flee. You were made for MORE.

Where is God's kingdom? Is it some far-off place we're waiting to reach? Jesus gave the Pharisees a surprising answer: "The kingdom of God is within you."

The kingdom isn't a political takeover or a distant future event. It's a present spiritual reality for every follower of Jesus. When Christ reigns in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, we're living in the kingdom right now. The question isn't when the kingdom will come, but whether the King is truly reigning in your life today.

Living as kingdom people means daily surrender, allowing God's Spirit to produce love, joy, peace, and faithfulness in us. It means aligning our will with His, even when it's difficult. As we pray "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done," we're choosing to be subjects who follow wherever the King leads.

Is Jesus the Lord and King of your life? Join us as we continue exploring what it means to live in God's kingdom today.

Are you part of God's kingdom? Have you repented of your old life? Have you made that 180-degree turn toward Christ, determined to follow Him wherever He leads? Are you allowing the King of the kingdom to make you new, to transform you into what He wants you to be?

Sometimes discipleship looks like a handshake at the door… and sometimes it looks like a car jack in a parking lot.

Allen helped a guest change a flat tire on Sunday, just a simple reminder that discipleship and caring for others happens in the every day moments.

For centuries, humanity has waited. Waited for redemption, waited for a kingdom that would set everything right. But when the kingdom finally arrived, it looked nothing like anyone expected.

The announcement was simple yet earth-shattering: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15).

These words marked a turning point in human history. The season of waiting was over. The kingdom had arrived, not as a distant promise or far-off dream, but as a present reality breaking into the fabric of everyday life.

The kingdom of God isn't some distant dream. It is HERE and NOW! This Sunday, Pastor Matt challenged us with Jesus' powerful declaration from Mark 1:15: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe in the gospel."

What does it mean to live as citizens of God's kingdom today? It means every day we choose to turn toward Jesus and surrendered everything to the King. It's not always easy, but it's always best because God does all things well. The kingdom isn't about waiting for heaven. It's about Jesus reigning in our hearts right now.

Are you part of the kingdom? Have you chosen to follow Christ wherever He leads? The King is inviting you today to experience His transforming power and become part of something eternal.

The best days are ahead when we live under the sovereign rule of our King!

Motherhood looks different in every season, but one truth remains constant: intentional moments matter more than perfect ones.

Whether you are painting crosses on doors with energetic boys, shopping for eight hours with your niece, or building relationships with your adult children, discipleship happens in the everyday. It is in the car rides, the dinner table conversations, and the times we simply show up and say, "I'm here."

The secret? You don't have to have all the answers.

You just need to take one step toward Jesus and bring someone along with you. God meets us in the chaos, fills our empty cups, and uses our imperfect moments to shape the hearts around us. Your village matters. Your consistency matters. And most importantly, you are enough, because God is with you.
