Many parishioners have reached out to let us know that they have not received their October envelopes - thank you for letting us know. Please know that if you sent in a loose check, we were able to credit it to your account.
Here is the response from our national supplier:
We work hard every day to be the most dependable envelope solution to churches everywhere. We know that in the very best case scenario, any delay in delivery still causes confusion and frustration among church members, and church office workers bear the brunt of those complaints. This is not what we want for you, ever. Nevertheless, rare-but-impossible-to-eliminate delays are always possible in any business, especially when your service relies heavily on transportation.
Here is what happened:
After October envelope packets had left our building and were in transit to our churches’ members’ homes, unexpected delays occurred at several regional postal sorting facilities, including:
Jacksonville, FL
McAllen, TX
Boston, MA
Evansville, IN
Springfield, IL (THAT'S US!)
As a result, local USPS offices tasked with making final delivery of envelopes did not receive your packets until 10/2/26, or possibly in some cases even later.
Your members will receive their envelope packets, and even now they likely already have them, but envelopes for the 1st Sunday offertory and its associated special collections were unfortunately late.
