Tomorrow, we celebrate the saints who have gone before into death and are awaiting for the resurrection from the dead. The Apology of the Augsburg Confession states that "we should remember the departed faithfully by giving thanks for their gifts, being strengthened in our faith as we recall God's mercy to them, and by imitating their faith and other virtues."

Tomorrow, we remember those who have died not only in the last year, but also all who have gone before us.

Join us tomorrow as we look again at another story from the Holy Week and now a lawyer tries to trick Jesus, "What is the greatest commandment in the Law?" In his answer we discover what really is the answer to that question and then even more as He then asks a question back.

Service begins at 9:00 a.m. with Bible Study and Sunday School to follow.

As we journey through Jerusalem with Jesus, we see Him once again challenged by the Jewish leaders. This time, they question Him about paying taxes to Caesar. While we might have wished for Him to reject the idea of paying taxes, we understand that earthly authority is real.

Tomorrow, as we seek Jesusโ€™ guidance, weโ€™ll discover that He calls us to respect our earthly authorities, but never to place them above our allegiance to God, who is the ultimate judge and the one who saves us.

As we get closer to All Saint's Day (Nov. !st), we begin to see more of what the Last Day and the return of Christ will be. Tomorrow, we look and see the great banquet that God has planned for us. As we see the full implications of what it means to know that Jesus has swallowed up death forever, the terror of the grave is replaced by eager anticipation of his eternal feast! We will be comforted as we stand in the shadow of death and yet joyfully expect the feast at Christ's return.

Tomorrow, we will meet "Master Strange Love." In the parable of the tenants, we see unusual behavior of the master as he reaches out to his tenants in love and mercy. By this very strange love of the master, we discover that we have new life in the vineyard.
