Greetings Camp Creek Church family and friends!

We are having a great time at our VM Staff Conference in beautiful Cannon Beach, Oregon! We arrived on Monday from 97 degrees in Portland to about 70 degrees at the coast. The whole week has been in the 60's and 70's and mostly sunny. Thank you, Lord, for such beautiful weather for conference! It has been nice to catch up with many Village Missionaries that we only see once a year! We have also enjoyed the theme of the conference, "CHRIST AT THE CENTER". What a timely reminder in our current culture of keeping Jesus at the center of our lives, our families, and our churches! It has been a relaxing week with times of quiet, rest, and good conversation. Thanks so much for your prayers for our time away!

As many of you know, Wayne Pounds' daughter, Denise, passed away a couple of weeks ago and we will be having the Memorial Service for her here at Camp Creek Church on Monday, June 22nd at 12 noon with a reception time afterward. The family will be providing various meat, cheese, veggie, sandwich, and cookie trays for the reception. If any would like to add to the finger foods that will be served, you are welcome to do so. Also, if there are any ladies who would be available to help in the kitchen, that would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

VBS is August 3-7 this year and we are looking forward to a great time at Emerald Crossing - An Irish Adventure through Psalm 23! You can register online by going to campcreekchurch.com and clicking on the VBS tab at the top. That will take you to the VBS page where you can click on the link to register. Paper registration forms will be available soon for those who need them.

Just a reminder that we do have COFFEE FELLOWSHIP this Sunday. We will be serving ice cream from our His Kids' party last week, meats and cheeses from Melody and Brian's wedding, and possibly some coleslaw salad. Please bring whatever you'd like to add to the mix. Our hosts are Marty C**n and Lisa Poquette, but they might need a hand or two in scooping the ice cream. Any volunteers? As always, Coffee Fellowship is a great time to get better acquainted with one another in the church family so plan to join us if you can.

Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner! Here's the schedule for the weekend ahead ...

FRIDAY
- His Kids from 1-4 pm for all K-5th graders. This will be our last His Kids of the season and will feature an ICE CREAM SUNDAE PARTY! Thanks to all who supplied the ice cream and fixings for the event!

SATURDAY
- Workday at the Camp Creek Cemetery @ 9:00 am. We will be detailing the cemetery grounds for Memorial Day. Projects include: W**d eating around headstones and perimeter fence, blowing off or cleaning any headstones that need attention, trimming low- hanging branches. Thanks for considering how you might help with this community project!

SUNDAY - Pentecost (Liturgical color of Pentecost is RED if you want to put a little red in your Sunday outfit!)

It will be great to be with you! We will continue our Spring Sermon Series on 2 Peter, "GROW", with one final look at the false teachers that were so prevalent when Peter wrote his letter. We will also welcome more of our new members and commemorate "Rededicate 250" (A national day of prayer, worship, thanksgiving, and renewal in honor of our upcoming 250th anniversary as a nation). Following the service is our Annual Congregational Meeting.

For those of you who park in the lot behind the Sanctuary, you will notice new striping that will aid with parking. Soon the curb bumpers will be reset and the project on that lot will be completed. It looks very nice and should hold up well for years to come!

Thanks to those of you who reached out yesterday to help with our His Kids Ice Cream Sundae Party that happens next Friday, May 22nd! Please deliver your items to the church by Wednesday, May 20th.
