Happy Tuesday,

I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
Philippians 3:10-11 NLT

In these verses, Paul boldly proclaims that he wants to know Christ. Paul was not content with knowing Jesus in a superficial way. He wanted to experience the power of Christ in his life. Paul also said that he wanted to suffer with Christ knowing that suffering and sharing in the death of Christ would only be for a season for the resurrection would come.

Like, Paul let us aim to have a deeper connection/relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. It's one thing to know about Jesus and it's another to experience him. Also know that in this journey called life that we will experience sufferings and share in the death of Christ. But know that your story will not end there. Jesus is in the business of restoring what is broken, bringing light into dark places, and giving life to what is dead. Amen 🙌🏽.

All are welcome to join us this evening for Power Prayer Tuesday at 8pm on Zoom. Let us strengthen one another through prayer. Connect with us via the link below.

Happy Monday,

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.
Philippians 3:8-9 NLT

Prior to devoting his life to Christ, Paul was an educated and wealthy Isrealite man. He was legalistic in nature and followed the laws of God in so much that he persecuted those who did not follow the law. One day, Paul encountered the Lord Jesus and his life was never the same. He accomplished much in his previous life but all of his achievements were like garbage. They were meaningless. What is now truly important is his life with and in Christ Jesus.

When Paul encountered Jesus, he found the true meaning to life and it's the same for us today. Fame, titles, obeying laws, being a good person means nothing if Jesus isn't at the center of it all. The word of God calls us to be one with Jesus. The oneness brings us to salvation and allows us to fulfill our purpose. When we have this then wealth, titles and other achievements have value. Today, seek to be one with Jesus. Then we can be made right with him and live purposefully.

Happy Friday,

Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it to safeguard your faith.
Philippians 3:1 NLT

Paul wrote this letter while in shackles in a Roman prison. He was surrounded by darkness and despair. He was paying a hefty price and possibly facing a death sentence for the crime of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul wasn't sure how his story would end, yet he tells his readers to rejoice in the Lord no matter happens.

Rejoice or joy and happiness sound similar but aren't the same. Happiness is typically contingent on your external surroundings. You're healthy, wealthy, and everything is going your way then you're happy. But, if you're sad, poor, going through a difficult situation then you're sad. But, being able to rejoice or have joy is not wishy washy. You are completely aware of your surroundings but your faith, your focus is in the Lord Jesus. Like Paul, know that Jesus is with you always and no matter what surrounds you rejoice in knowing that the outcome is in the Lord's hands 🙌🏽.

All are welcome to join us this Sunday at Spring City Church of God at 1045am for a blessed Sunday Service. Come with a surrendered heart and expecting God to move in your life. Follow the address and link below.

Happy Thursday,

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
Philippians 2:12 NLT

In this verse, Paul teaches us three things. First, he encourages us to follow the word of God even in the absence of a leader. Obedience to the word of God should never be dependent on the presence of a leader, pastor etc. They were called; we are called to live out the word of God even when no one is around. This is called integrity. Secondly, Paul teaches us to work diligently to show the results of our salvation. Salvation through Jesus Christ is a gift from God. We can't work for it. However, as Christians it not enough to just say and believe we're saved.
The results of our salvation should be evident in our choices, habit, and character.

Third, Paul teaches us that we must fear the Lord. We need to have respect and a healthy reverence for the Lord Jesus Christ. We serve a Holy God so we must watch what we think, say, or do because we reverence Him. We also must live a life that is pure, and holy because we reverence Him. We need to include Jesus in our decisions because we reverence Him. Today, let us take these directives to heart. Let us continue to follow and obey the word of God. Let us work at showing the work of the Lord Jesus in all areas of our lives and let us show reverence to Him in all that we do 🙌🏽.

Sitting At The Spring.... Genesis 11

05/27/2026

Happy Wednesday,

Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Philippians 2:4-5 NLT

In biblical times, the people were very selfish in nature. Their goal was to please themselves at any cost. It didn't matter if others were struggling or going through as long as their own needs were met. Does this sound familiar? This attitude or way of thinking is also evident today. For this reason, Paul wrote this letter to the people of Phillipi then and for our understanding today. Paul says don't look "only" for your own interests but to also look out for the interests of others.

Like Jesus we MUST care for others. Each day, we come across people who need assistance. Some may need monetary assistance. Some may need emotional support. Some may need to know that someone is thinking about them. As Christians, we are called to be the light in a dark world. We can only do this when we have the attitude of Christ. As you go about your day, ask the Lord Jesus to reveal to you someone in need and reach out to them. Don't allow your "self" or your pride to keep you from being a blessing to someone. When you do this, you will please your father in heaven and He will bless you and your family in return. Amen.

All are welcome to join us this evening for Sitting At The Spring Bible Study at 7pm tonight on Zoom and Facebook. Let us grow together in God's word. Follow the link below to connect online.

Happy Tuesday,

“Soon I will die,” Joseph told his brothers, “but God will surely come to help you and lead you out of this land of Egypt. He will bring you back to the land he solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”
Genesis 50:24 NLT

Joseph's time on earth was coming to an end, but he left his brothers with a prophetic word of hope. Joseph knew that his brothers and families were blessed by God, lived in peace and had all the goods that they needed in Egypt. But, Joseph wanted them to know that despite these things, that Egypt was not their home. Canaan was the land that was promised to their forefathers. God would bring them back and help them along the way.

Too many times, we start experiencing the blessings of God and think that we have arrived. Know that God can bless you in prison. He can bless you in a job, a home, a church but that doesn't mean that the location is your end stop. It just means that it's part of your journey. Each one of us has a Canaan that the Lord Jesus Christ wants to take us to. It can be a physical or a spiritual place. It's the place where God has designed for the fulfillment of your purpose while on this earth. The Lord Jesus will get us there if we walk in His ways. If we don't lose sight of the mission. Don't get swayed by the things or opportunities that you see. Thank God for them but know that the Lord has so much more for you. If He promised it. He will do it. Amen 🙏🏽.

Happy Monday,

So Joseph and his brothers and their families continued to live in Egypt. Joseph lived to the age of 110. He lived to see three generations of descendants of his son Ephraim, and he lived to see the birth of the children of Manasseh’s son Makir, whom he claimed as his own.
Genesis 50:22-23 NLT

Today, lets talk about divine purpose. It is the belief that one's life, one's journey is not by accident. It is unique and part of God's master plan. When Joseph was young God gave him dreams of his future. His dreams revealed that he would be great and his family would one day bow down to him. What the dreams didn't tell him was how he was going to get to the end result. His dreams didn't tell him that he would be betrayed, isolated, lied on and almost killed. While these things happened but they didn't stop his divine purpose. Instead, we see that Joseph dreams not only came true but were beyond what anyone including him had imagined.

Today, know that you too have a divine purpose. The Lord Jesus Christ had a unique plan for your life. It may not seem like it at the moment. You may be fighting for your life, overcoming betrayal and isolation. But know, that nothing can stop God's plan. Like Joseph, you will live a fruitful and long life. You will see the evidence of God's handiwork in your family. He's already shown you the dream. Don't worry, He will help you along your journey.
