Happy Monday,

But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:15 NLT

In this text, Paul reminds us that sin entered the world through Adam. And the consequence of sin was and still is death. This means that everyone is born with a sinful nature and is destined for spiritual death. This was not part of God's orginial plan for humanity. His plan was for us to live eternally on earth. But our disobedience caused death to exist. Despite this, God did not give up on us. Through His love and grace, He gifted us a part of Himself, His Son Jesus Christ. And through Jesus we were gifted forgiveness and eternal life.

Today, know that despite what you have done or what you are currently struggling with that Jesus has forgiveness for you. Man may look down on you for what you have done but that's not how Jesus operates. Forgiveness is available to you as a gift. Also know that salvation and eternal life is yours. You don't have to work for it. You surely can't buy it. You just need to accept Jesus into your heart and confess Him with your mouth and you shall be saved 🙌🏽.

Happy Thursday,

And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.
Romans 5:9 NLT

The bible declares that there was a time that we were in the wrong standing with God. As we sinned, as we disobeyed, as we had a poor attitude, as we went far from God, we were not in right standing. Because of this we were destined for eternal damnation which is hell. We were headed to hell and there's nothing that we could do on our own to change our destination. BUT through the blood of Jesus we have gained eternal life. Our guilty sentence has been changed to not guilty. We were once condemned but now we are declared innocent.

Today, know that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. The world may see your faults and short comings. You may be perceived as unworthy or unclean. But through the blood of Jesus you are seen as clean, innocent, righteous, and holy before the Lord. Your value isn't based on what you've done or what you haven't done. Instead it is based on who Jesus is your life. Amen 🙌🏽.

Happy Wednesday,

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 5:8 NLT

The bible tells us that God showed great love by sending Jesus Christ to earth. Jesus being sent to earth wasn't an accident or an after thought. God intentionally sent Him to earth for a special mission and that mission was to die for humanity. The majority of us would not sacrifice our child or loved one for the sake of another but that's exactly what God did. It's also important to acknowledges that this act of love was done while we were still yet sinners. While we were knee deep in sin, while we were in utter darkness, while we had completely turned away from God, God showed this great act of love to all of humanity 🙌🏽.

Today, know that the love that God has for you is not based how good or clean you are. He doesn't stop loving you when you fall short. Know that He loves you despite all of your faults. Also, know that we are to extend this same type of agape love to others. We're to love not only those who do right by us but to those who may have hurt us. This doesn't mean that we must be in a relationship with them, but we ought to release the hurt, pain, and animosity from our hearts and allow God's love to flow through us.

Happy Tuesday,

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping, believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!”
Romans 4:18 NLT

Hope is to be optimistic that a positive outcome will come out of a situation. Some may think that this is based on odds or chance. Some may also think its based on your environment and the conditions to which you're surrounded by. But this was not the case for Abraham. His hope wasn't based on the odds working in his favor. It was based on him having complete trust in the Lord even when life appeared hopeless.

Today, don't place your focus on just thinking positive. Instead, place your focus and faith in the promises of God. God's promises are yes and amen. If He said it, He will do it! Fear may try to creap in as you look at the waves and storms of life. I encourage you to speak to your storm. Tell it, "I see how big you are. I can't see around you or above you, but Jesus is greater!!" Amen 🙌🏽.

Happy Monday,

That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.” This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.
Romans 4:17 NLT

In this text, Paul highlights God's promise to make Abraham a father of many nations. These nations would not only come from a physical lineage but from a lineage that would consists of anyone who believed in the Lord, and walked by faith. Paul also mentions that God is a God that brings dead things to life. Sarah's womb was considered dead but God caused life to come out of it. The verse also states that God can create something out of nothing. I am reminded that God is the Elohim, the supreme power from which all things are created 🙌🏽.

Today, I encourage you to stop trying so hard on your own to live right. Instead, fix your eyes on Jesus. Ask Him to build your faith. Surrender your will to Him and allow Him to do the good work in you. Also, know that whatever seems like it's dead or finished, God is able to turn it around. What's final for man is not final for God. You maybe in a situation where you've heard and read about the promises of God, but you lack the resources to make the promises come to pass. Know that God created the earth and the things in it with His logos, His spoken word. Therefore, do not fret. Don't focus on what you don't see instead place your eyes and your complete trust in the Lord Jesus Christ 🙏🏽.
