Happy Thursday,

For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
Colossians 1:27 NLT

In the Old Testament, we learn that God made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants. Through Abraham, the Isrealites were birthed and they were called God's chosen people. All other nations were called Gentiles. It was believed that the Messiah, the Savior was coming to save the chosen people, the Israelites. However, in this chapter Paul reveals a divine truth. The truth is that Jesus the Messiah is not only available to the Israelites/Jews. He is available to all people despite race, nationality, and culture. He also taught that God is not confined to a specific location or building but when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He now dwells in us and is with us everywhere we go.

Today, know that Jesus is not reserved for a select group of people. He is not available for the elite or educated. He is available for all. Once you surrender to Him, His spirit is not just with you but He's in you. If you go to the highest mountain, He'll be in you. If you go to the lowest valley, He'll still be in you. Hallelujah 🙌🏽. Also have the assurance that one day you WILL share in His glory 🙏🏽.

Happy Wednesday,

I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am participating in the sufferings of Christ that continue for his body, the church. God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you.
Colossians 1:24-25 NLT

Paul as an apostle of Jesus Christ had suffered many things due to him evangelizing and spreading the Good News. He was talked about, beaten, and imprisoned several times. Although he suffered much, Paul found joy in knowing that like Christ, his suffering had a purpose. God had given him the responsibility to spread the Good News of Jesus to the Jews and Gentiles and he was willing to do it even when he was uncomfortable.

Today, know that we as children of God have the responsibility to spread the Good News of Jesus. This doesn't have to be behind a pulpit or in front of a large congregation. This can be done in our homes, at work, at school, at the grocery store etc. Know that we shall suffer for the sake of the Gospel. There is a real enemy who will do whatever He can to keep you and I silent. For we have the answer to the world's problems. The answer is Jesus. It's up to us to be willing to step out of our comfort zone to fulfill the great commission. Next time you're feeling anxious or scared to speak to someone about Jesus, pray and ask God for help. He will give you the exact words and tools that you need 🙏🏽.

Happy Tuesday,

This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Colossians 1:21-22 NLT

The scriptures tell us that our evil thoughts and actions made us enemies of God. When humanity became selfish and thought their ways were better than God's, they literally pulled themselves far away from God's very presence. This had led us to spiritual death. But God in His love, mercy, and favor chose to send His Son Jesus to reconcile us and bring us back to himself so that we can be saved.

Today, we are not only saved by the death of Jesus Christ but we are blameless and are deemed holy through Him! Jesus paid the penalty of our sins so that we didn't have to. When we fall short, God is not standing over us, pointing His finger, and condemning us. Instead, when we fall short and repent, God sees us through the eyes of Jesus. Hallelujah 🙌🏽. Through Jesus our sins have been washed away. Through Jesus we have been forgiven. Through Jesus we are not alienated but reconnected to the Father. Amen 🙏🏽.

Happy Monday,

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.
Colossians 1:19-20 NLT

The bible tells us that God in his fullness was PLEASED to be in Christ. Jesus was not an angel or a prophet that was sent to the earth on behalf of God. He was and is fully God. We also see that it pleased God to come in human form. He wasn't forced. He wasn't tricked. He was fully willing to come on earth in human form so that we could experience and see God in a tangible manner. The scriptures also tell us that humanity and other beings had gone far away from the Lord. We were lost. Sin had seeped into our lives and separated us from our heavenly Father. But through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed on the cross, we have been reconciled. We no longer have to wander around like lost sheep. But, through Christ we are connected to the Lord of lords.

Today, know that Jesus was 100% man and was 100% God. He willingly stepped down on this earth so you and I could have a shot at eternal life. Without Jesus we would never make it. But through Jesus, we are connected to God and nothing, and I mean nothing can separate us. Hallelujah 🙌🏽. Walk with the assurance that you have been reconciled to the Father if you believe and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. And know that God has prepared a place in heaven just for you 🙌🏽.
