Restoration Re-cap here’s a summary of yesterday’s message:

The sermon focuses on the theme of love, emphasizing the need for genuine, impactful love as commanded by God. The pastor shares a personal testimony of God’s healing power and transitions into a discussion about the origin of love, highlighting that true love originates from God, the ultimate architect of love. The sermon explores the importance of understanding and practicing God’s love in our daily lives.

Before creation, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit existed in perfect communion. God created the world out of love, not to be loved, and this love is evident in John 3:16. The love of God, demonstrated through creation, speaks life into existence and transforms those who receive it.

God’s love is demonstrated through His actions, particularly the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. This love transforms us, bringing order to chaos and illuminating our lives. When God speaks, His words have power, and His promises are true, ensuring that He will fulfill His love for us.

The speaker emphasizes that love, as defined by God, is reciprocal and should be displayed towards all people, regardless of race or background. They argue that true love, which is a manifestation of God’s DNA within believers, compels them to love others as God loves them. The speaker uses biblical references and Greek translations to support their argument, highlighting the importance of love in the Christian faith.

The text emphasizes the importance of love, stating that true love originates from God and is characterized by reciprocity. It argues that those who claim to love God but exhibit hatred or disrespect towards others do not truly know Him. The text also highlights the concept of being “God-born,” suggesting that true believers should embody God’s love and bring heaven to earth through their actions.

One of the greatest evidences of God’s work in our lives is how we treat the people around us.

Every day gives us opportunities to extend grace, show kindness, offer forgiveness, encourage someone who is struggling, or simply be present for those who need it.

As followers of Christ, we are called not only to receive God’s love, but to reflect it in our words, actions, and relationships.

We pray that God would help each of us be a light to those around us today. ❤️

Be still, and know that I am God” is not a call to laziness, avoidance, or doing nothing.

In Psalm 46, God is not telling His people to ignore responsibility or sit idly by while life happens around them. He is calling them to stop striving in fear, stop reacting in panic, and remember that He is still God.

Sometimes trusting God means being quiet before Him.
But sometimes trusting God also means taking wise, faithful action, and putting in the work.

It may mean:

– Making that difficult phone call and having that hard conversation
– Walking through an uncomfortable situation that you have been ignoring
– Repenting
– Apologizing
– Working
– Serving
– Preparing

Faith does not mean avoiding what is hard. It means facing hard things head-on, while remembering that not everything rests on our strength alone.

Being still before God means we stop moving in fear and start moving in faith to get to our end result.

There are seasons when the path ahead feels uncertain, prayers seem urgent, and strength feels hard to find.

Psalm 31 reminds us that God remains faithful in every season. He is present in our struggles, near in our weakness, and trustworthy when circumstances try to convince us otherwise.

No matter what you may be facing today, remember that your story is not defined by fear, disappointment, or difficulty. The Lord is still your refuge, your strength, and your hope.

Take a moment today to read Psalm 31 and be encouraged by the faithfulness of God from beginning to end.

Praying that your heart is strengthened, your faith is renewed, and your confidence in the Lord grows even deeper.
