Eid Mubarak!

This is what happens when the Ummah answers the call.

We asked for unity this Eid… Spokane delivered.

Wall to wall.

Families, brothers, sisters — celebrating Eid together.

So many people… we had to combine multiple indoor fields just to fit everyone.

Let that sink in.

This isn’t normal.
This is powerful.

For a moment, there was no division — just one Ummah, standing shoulder to shoulder for the sake of Allah.

Don’t let this be “just Eid.”
Let this be the beginning.
Let us build together.

𝗪𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗷𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the beloved mother of our dear brother, Br. Mamdouh.

For those who may be new to our community, Br. Mamdouh is a pillar of our community and is currently serving as SIC president. For decades, he has tirelessly led, guided, and supported our community in different roles with dedication and sincerity.

Dear Community,
AsSalamu Alaykum WaRahmatullah,

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved brother, 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗮 𝗘𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿.

Brother Alaa was a cornerstone of our community — a remarkable man, devoted husband and father, kind friend, and a humble servant leader. From the mid-1970s to the late 2000s, he served our community in many roles, including as president of the Islamic Center.

He played a vital role in establishing the Spokane Islamic Center and was one of the founding members of the Muslim Students Association of Spokane. His dedication and leadership left a lasting mark on our community.

Though illness kept him from remaining active in recent years, his legacy continues in the institutions he helped build and in the countless lives he touched.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and to the entire community. We will miss him dearly. We pray that Allah (SWT) showers him with mercy, forgives his sins, and grants him the highest place in Jannat al-Firdaws. Ameen.
