Healing Rooms is CLOSED this week:

As we pause this Memorial Day to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, we want to let our Father’s Vineyard family know that Healing Rooms will be closed this Tuesday in observance of the holiday.

We are deeply thankful for the sacrifices made by so many to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect, pray, and remember those who laid down their lives for others. Jesus said in John 15:13:

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
We encourage everyone to take time this week to be with family, rest, pray, and honor the memory of those who served our nation with courage and sacrifice.

Healing Rooms will resume the following Tuesday at our normal time, and we look forward to gathering again to pray, encourage, and minister healing to all who come.

If you or someone you know needs prayer during the week, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the church office or message us online. We are always here for you.

May God bless your family this Memorial Day week, and may His peace and comfort be with you all.

Take Your Medicine: Laughter as Spiritual Warfare – 2 week study

9:30am in Coffeesations Area
Many people think spiritual strength looks serious, tense, and heavy. Scripture paints a different picture. The Bible teaches that laughter is medicine, joy is strength, and a cheerful heart is a weapon against despair. In this two-week class, we’ll explore how joy is not denial of hardship — it’s defiance in the face of it.

“Take Your Medicine” examines what the Bible says about laughter, emotional resilience, and learning to interrupt fear and heaviness with holy joy. We’ll look at how humor breaks anxiety, how perspective restores strength, and how choosing laughter can become a spiritual discipline that protects your heart and mind.

This class is not about pretending life is easy. It’s about discovering how God uses joy to steady us in difficulty, strengthen our faith, and remind us that darkness does not get the final word. You’ll leave with practical tools to reframe stress, cultivate amusement in everyday life, and build habits of joy that support emotional and spiritual health.

Come learn how laughter becomes medicine — and how taking it seriously might change how you fight your battles.
