“Jesus prepared a meal for the multitudes to remind us that we feed people not because we believe they deserve it, but because they are hungry.” ~John Pavlovitz

As a result of your faithfulness, 152 meals were shared with our wonderful neighbors at Frankful Fridays today. Many thanks to everyone who contributed. We’ll do it again on 11/13. God is good! ❤️

SUMC really showed out today! We were facing several of our regular volunteers being absent today, but we had some new volunteers who stepped up. We were also short on beans, but a number of folks prepared chili for us. We not only fed 150 hungry people today, we had some chili beans left over for our car show on Saturday. Thank you for your dedication to this important ministry!

Join us today for our monthly drive-thru meal. We will feature chili beans and cornbread! Serving starts at 5:00 pm.

What a beautiful hike last night on the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center Loop Trail. The leaves haven't changed much but, we did see a beautiful sunset. Stay tuned for our next Boots and Beatitudes event.
