This post is about sharing with others something that has changed your life. Many of our Newman Center students could tell you that all it took was someone reaching out and inviting them to an event. Many of our Newman Center students have grown tremendously because of their involvement. This community gives everyone an opportunity to dive deep into the Catholic faith and have a better understanding of what it really looks like.

We will see you on Move-In Day (Friday, August 21) and we will be handing out cookies from 8 AM to 12 PM! Now is your chance to receive your cookie or share your story by giving someone a cookie! 🍪⛪️

August is the month of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Reflect on the Blessed Mother’s life full of joys and sorrows and how you can deepen your love for her son, Jesus Christ.

August 15 is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a holy day of obligation.

Symbolism in the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

- Lilies- symbolizes Mary’s purity and refers to St. Joseph her spouse.
- Roses- symbolize her purity brought about by her Immaculate Conception.
- Flames- symbolize her love for God and humanity.
- Sword- Refers to the passage of Luke (“a sword shall pierce...”) and brings to mind the sorrows she endured during her lifetime. especially during the crucifixion.
