But it produced more dead Christians than every other nation on earth combined.

3,490 killed in twelve months.

3,632 churches and Christian properties attacked.

In Kaduna State, 1,116 Christians were abducted in 2025. Muslims abducted: 101.

Pastor Barnabas from Nigeria said Every day we are attacked.

That's 13.3 Christians dead every day.

CHRISTIANS, PRAY FOR YOUR LEADERS.

The Bible doesn’t tell us to pray only for leaders we voted for, agree with, or personally like. Scripture says:

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority…” —1 Timothy 2:1–2

And remember who was ruling when Paul wrote those words. Nero was emperor. Christians certainly weren’t being told to pray for him because he was a godly leader.

Why pray? Paul continues: “that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” And then he connects this to God’s desire for people “to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:2–4)

So pray for our president. Pray for Congress. Pray for governors, judges, mayors and everyone entrusted with authority.

Pray that they encounter Jesus if they don’t know Him yet. Pray for wisdom. Pray that they make righteous decisions. Pray that evil plans are stopped. Pray that God surrounds them with wise counsel. Pray for their protection. And pray that our nation would be able to live peacefully and freely proclaim the Gospel.

You don’t have to agree with someone to pray for them.

We’re commanded to pray for those in authority—and we should take that command seriously.

The most dangerous offense is the one you have renamed “discernment.” This is where the battle for your peace becomes practical.

The culture trains us to accuse. Jesus trained His disciples to wash feet.

In John 13, Jesus knelt in a room with Judas, who would betray Him, and Peter, who would deny Him. He was not unaware. He was not weak. He simply refused to let their coming failure change His love.

That confronts leadership criticism. Public responsibility attracts private projections.

Ask yourself: Am I trying to cleanse this situation or prosecute this person? Am I moving toward truth and restoration, or feeding contempt? Discern whether the criticism contains instruction, distraction, or accusation, and respond accordingly.

The goal is not to avoid every offense. That is impossible. The goal is to become the kind of person whose love is no longer controlled by the failures of others.

Creating a Heart of Gratitude

One of the most powerful emotions is gratitude. If we can find ways to be thankful and grateful throughout our life, we will find the power and emotional strength to walk through some of life’s hardest seasons.

It's not always easy to find ways to be thankful and grateful. But, one of the things Scripture teaches us throughout the Psalms is that there is always something to be grateful for.

The Psalms teach us various songs and poems for every season of our life. But more than that, they also teach us how to cultivate a heart of gratitude and worship towards God.

We belong to a God who loves us and cares deeply for us. God’s love and goodness will never end. Psalm 100:5 praises God for these things:

"For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

Through Psalms like this, we can begin to build a habit of gratitude towards God and all that He has done. We can thank God for what He has done in our lives, what He is currently doing, and what He will do in the future as we follow after Him.

Because God is always good, loving, and faithful, there is always something we can be grateful for—even in the midst of difficult seasons of life.

Take a few moments today to strengthen the habit of gratitude in your life.

- First, begin by thanking God for who He is: that He is good, faithful, and loving towards you.
- Next, thank God for all that He has done. Thank Him for the good things in your life, and that He has walked with you through the hard times.
- Lastly, thank God for all He will continue to do in the days and years to come. He is trustworthy!
