Recently, Immigration Legal Services (ILS) helped an asylee reunite with his family after nearly eight years of separation. Fleeing violence and threats in his home country, he feared he might never see his loved ones again.

After receiving asylum in the U.S., he became eligible to bring them here, but the process was long, complex, and emotionally taxing. The ILS team worked tirelessly with the U.S. Embassy, overcoming bureaucratic challenges and managing every step of the reunion.

When the family finally arrived, their joy and relief were a powerful reminder of ILS's life-changing work. This case continues to inspire the team's dedication to helping families navigate the complexities of immigration law and make the U.S. their home.

Thank you for contributing to CSA and helping unite this family!

In a historic moment, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 2026, and invite all parishes to join in this consecration.

Join the U.S. from June 3-11 in praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Each day reflects on the wisdom of saints and pontiffs on the Sacred Heart and offers opportunities for prayer and action, framed by Pope Francis' encyclical Dilexit Nos (He Loved Us) and Pope Leo XIV's apostolic exhortation Dilexi Te (I Have Loved You)

We will be posting the Novena each day.

Supported by contributions to the CSA, the Office of Faith Formation supports the ministries of evangelization and catechesis in the Diocese of Grand Rapids .

Your generosity supports efforts that focus on providing ways for children, youth, and adults to encounter Jesus each time they gather, to grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith, and to be a witness of Christ in the world.

The gifts of CSA have allowed the Office of Faith Formation to provide every parish and school in the diocese with access to the online learning platform at the Catechetical Institute of Franciscan University of Steubenville. With over 800 workshops, parishes have a valuable resource to aid them in forming catechists, schoolteachers, youth ministers, adult group leaders, volunteers, and parents as missionary disciples.
