Forgiveness is rarely easy, especially when the hurt runs deep. Yet Jesus calls us to forgive without keeping count, just as God’s mercy toward us cannot be measured.

Forgiveness does not erase what happened or make wrongdoing acceptable. It releases our desire for revenge and opens our hearts to God’s healing grace.

Is there a hurt you need to place in God’s hands today?

Today, let us pause to remember God’s goodness and praise him with our whole being — with our words, our choices and the way we love and serve others.

What blessing are you thanking God for today?

Some seasons of life ask more of us than we think we can bear. Yet even in suffering, God remains near — strengthening us, carrying us and working in ways we may not yet understand.

Whatever you are facing today, you do not face it alone. Hold onto hope, lean into prayer and trust that God will walk with you through it.

On Sept. 9, the Church celebrates St. Peter Claver, a Spanish Jesuit priest who dedicated his ministry to serving enslaved Africans arriving in Colombia. He met them with food, medicine, comfort and the assurance of their God-given dignity.

May his witness challenge us to recognize Christ in those who suffer, defend the dignity of every person and serve others with courage and compassion.

St. Peter Claver, pray for us!

On Sept. 8, the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her birth brought the world one step closer to the coming of Christ and reminds us that God quietly prepares the way for his saving work.

Today, we give thanks for Mary’s life, her faithful “yes” and her loving example of trust in God.

Happy birthday, Blessed Mother! Pray for us.

Question of the Week: How can you approach a difficult conversation with greater honesty, humility and love?

In Matthew 18:15-20, Jesus teaches us to seek reconciliation directly and compassionately when someone has hurt us. Rather than allowing resentment or division to grow, we are called to take the first step toward healing.

Ask God for the wisdom to speak with charity, the humility to listen and the courage to pursue peace.
