Do you guys know what I appreciate about leadership. ✨

It requires what most cannot do.
It requires humility.
It requires discipline.
It requires courage.
It requires strength.
It requires patience.
It requires humanity.

Unfortunately, in leadership the world will say they don’t want a “perfect” leader. They want someone who “understands” where they’re coming from.

Until they realize a leader has real struggles, real emotions and real problems.

The best part about leadership—is that the ones who only wanted the unrealistic, uplifted, never had a bad day, leader to show up; fall off. The ones who are willing to help maintain, correct, and honor tend to stay.

Corrective criticism should create growth—not control.

When insecurity and self-doubt drive leadership, the outcome often reveals it.

Not every question, correction, concern, or conversation needs a public audience. If people learn that bringing their problems to you means those problems will become public, eventually they stop coming to you.

You lose their trust, their communication, and the opportunity to create a positive outcome.

Accountability should create growth, not fear.
Leadership should create enough safety for people to tell you the truth.
Because when people are afraid of what will happen after they speak, the problem doesn't disappear.

They simply stop telling you about it.

Perception will often rule over truth in the eyes of people—but God always sees the heart.

Stop chasing approval. Peace comes when you realize people often honor “who” they choose, not always “what” is right.

You may not be their exception, and that's okay. God never asked you to be. Stay faithful, let Him defend your character, and keep moving forward.

“The Lord looks at the heart."— 1 Samuel 16:7
