🌅Jewish holidays begin at sunset
under the Hebrew calendar.

🌅Rosh Hashanah starts at sun down on Friday,
Sept. 11, 2026—which is today. It continues through nightfall on Sunday, Sept. 13, marking
the beginning of the Jewish year 5787.

🌅 5787 is called a “Peh-Zayin” year:

* Peh / 80:
interpreted as a season emphasizing the mouth—speech, proclamation, prayer, truth-telling, or speaking God’s word.

* Zayin / 7:
interpreted through the image of a sword and the biblical symbolism of seven—spiritual warfare, discernment, rest, completion, covenant, and fulfillment.

* Put together, teachers may describe it as a year to speak faithfully and courageously, to let God bring closure or completion, and to use Scripture rather than hostility or fear when facing spiritual struggle. Some specifically characterize it as a time of “covenant completion.”
