From Bro Fisher, "For those that may not have heard, Bro Russ Faubert will be stepping down as Senior Bible Quiz Director after NABQT this year.

This news is tough to absorb and it definitely hit me pretty hard when I heard it. Bro Faubert is an amazing leader and friend and has invested so much of his life to this wonderful ministry. But all good things come to an end and he has made his decision after much prayer.

I'm sending this just to encourage us to not focus on the why (or even the who) of these decisions, but to lift our eyes to the One who has it all in control! Let's trust God with our future and remain submitted to our leadership. So, let's bind together in prayer for Bro Faubert and his family, for our leadership, for the future direction of our ministry, and for each other.

So many will be posting their opinions or feelings on socials over the coming days and weeks, so please don't let those comments pull you down, but rather focus on looking up and holding to the hand of the Almighty for comfort and direction.

In an effort to help our quizzers finish strong, we are incorporating a ticket-earning game. Each verse quoted perfectly from their weekly spot check will earn the quizzer 2 tickets. If they need the beginning but can quote the remainder of the verse, they will earn 1 ticket. Incorrect quotes earn 0 tickets. We will also award tickets from the state finals. 1st-place ribbons earn 10 tickets, and 2nd-place ribbons earn 5 tickets. Their tickets will go into a bucket, and we will draw for prizes at our last practice. Please work with your quizzers to learn their spot checks.
