Sunday August 23 , 2026 , at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Slidell LA, with Pastor Bob Belknap, as he gives us encouragement from the Word. “Jesus is a Rock in our lives.”
Bible Study 9 am, Worship 10:30 am, followed by a Sunday Fellowship meal. We invite YOU to share with us. Reminder also of gathering for all on Thursdays 11:30 am with soup and potluck sides, and a Bible Study (finishing Revelation).
Our fledging Food Ministry to reaching out to the community with a Blessing Box at the entrance, and future planned Pantry and supply events with our Ladies League and volunteers. The Lord provides!

An answer to prayers! Today, Rev Robert Belknap returned to serve at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Slidell, after making amazing progress in recovery from hip replacement surgery. He attended an early church council meeting, led Sunday Bible study with enthusiasm, and was the strongest voice singing praise in the sanctuary as he resumed Worship. Pastor Bob only missed two Sunday Services before he was able to return, He told us the healthcare staff couldn’t believe how he did so well at age 84. His answer? “I told them I had many folks praying for me. Prayer works! Thank you, God!”

At Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Slidell, located at 35300 Home Estate Dr, Slidell LA 70460, join us on Thursdays at 11:30 am for nourishment of “body and soul”. Usually a delightful soup or main dish, and potluck sides are welcome. Pastor Robert “Bob” Belknap leads us in Bible study. Currently we are discovering Revelation. A great way to connect with others!
On Sunday, we gather at 9 am for Sunday School, and 10:30 am Worship Service. A fellowship meal follows on Sunday.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Slidell, 35300 Home Estate Dr, Slidell LA celebrated Sunday Bible study and Worship today, with Word and Sacrament. Not only honoring mothers with flowers, but witnessing First Communion for young Jeffery, which made this a very special day. Thank you, Dear Lord, for Your Gracious Gifts. Reverend Robert Belknap serves us at Good Shepherd. We welcome visitors!
9 am Sunday Bible Study, 10:30 am Worship. A fellowship meal after worship offers a glad opportunity to get acquainted. On Thursdays is served a lunch at 11:30 am, usually soup and potluck sides, followed by a Bible study, currently in Revelation. YOU are most welcome here!
