Actor Spotlight! ALONDA COUSIZAN-COOPER (Mrs. Johnson) wears many crowns— loving pastor's wife, mother, author, full-time professional, caretaker, and proud "Duchess" to her grandson Julez. Her passion for storytelling first lit up the stage in 1991 when she portrayed Cora in the published play Spring Break, a comedic role that earned her early praise. She has starred in numerous original Christian theatrical works, becoming known for blending humor, heart, and faith with authenticity.
After a meaningful intermission from the spotlight, Alonda is delighted to make her Slidell Little Theatre debut as the scene-stealing Mrs. Johnson in A Raisin in the Sun. She returns with revived artistic energy—and just a tasteful dash of "I said what I said" truth-telling flair—to the stage. Offstage, she juggles her full-time professional career, ministry, family, caregiving, and creative expression with grace and a grin. She is also the author of Lord, Help Your People... But Please Start With Me... She believes that God has a sense of humor—after all, He created her—and she cherishes every chance to uplift others. She extends heartfelt thanks to her family and hopes this
performance brings both reflection and laughter.

Celebrating 50 years of life, love, and purpose.
He was already an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and pastor before the major health crisis—but watching him rise again has revealed a new depth of strength, grace, and faith.
He is still healing.
Still working hard.
Still believing.
