No pain, no gain isn’t just true in the gym.
Sometimes growth hurts. Healing hurts. Truth hurts. But pain is not always the enemy. Sometimes it’s the sign that something dead is being brought back to life.
This week, we’ll look at what happens when God’s Word cuts through our excuses, exposes what’s really going on in our hearts, and leads us to the only One who can truly heal us: Jesus.
Join us for Energized for Mission: The Heart of the Matter, Part 2.

Today we are taking a closer look at the sermon Peter preaches on Pentecost. What is it about the Holy Spirit that leads Peter to preach the way he does? What is it that ultimately leads to the success he sees that day and in the days to come? There are some obvious clues we can easily gloss over if we aren't willing to look closely. We can be distracted by all the excitement of the sound like a mighty rushing wind, the fire, and the different languages. Join us as we explore the simple, obvious connection with the work of the Holy Spirit.

This morning, we celebrate the life of longtime and beloved Open Arms member, Eileen Reif, who passed peacefully into Jesus' arms on March 28, 2026.

The 9:00 am Worship Service will be followed by a potluck reception and the memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm.

We humans often have an overinflated sense of responsibility for our decisions. We pour over information for hours, days, weeks, months, or more! We ask for advice from a variety of individuals. Then we make a decision we believe to be best for us and our plans and purposes. But in today's passage, the disciples made a decision by rolling dice! What is that all about and what does it mean for us? Join us as we examine Acts 1:15-26.

Last week, on Pentecost Sunday, we began “Energized for Mission” by celebrating the arrival of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church’s Spirit-powered witness. This week, we continue with “First Things First,” based on Acts 1:6-14.
Before the disciples rushed into action, they waited on Jesus, gathered together, and devoted themselves to prayer.
Join us as we discover why prayer is not what the Church does when there’s nothing else to do — it’s where mission begins.
