Last week we heard from God through Stephen that "It...Is...FINISHED" in Jesus.
You are forgiven. You are loved. You will be welcomed into your heavenly mansion because of what Christ has done. You need not earn it. You need not prove yourself to anyone. You are loved and accepted and victorious through Christ our Lord. But as you went home and went through another week, you probably realized that dinner isn't finished. Neither is the laundry. Your work isn't finished at your job or business. Nor your work investing in your kids and grandkids. While our most important need is already met, there is still plenty to do. This week we see that while salvation has been secured in Jesus there is still plenty to do as we share the Good News that Jesus paid it all. Join us!

Last week we spoke about how God has made his people a kingdom of priests in Christ. This week, in Acts 7, as we see these new priests do the work of the Church, things get very dangerous very quickly. Stephen becomes the first Christian martyr. But before he is stoned to death, and as he endures the suffering assigned to him, he offers a lengthy defense of the Christian faith and shows us the strength and power it gives to those who believe. Looking for strength like that? Join us as we continue our study of Acts.

Hey Open Arms family! I know it’s still August, BUT hear me out…
Since we’re officially almost in the “BER” months, I don’t feel quite as bad posting about Halloween anymore. With that being said…

We’re already getting things rolling for a fun day of decorated trunks, candy, food, and plenty of fall fun!
