Oak Hills Kids Ministries

This last Sunday we were able to celebrate over 10 years of commitment from Oak Hills to serving the community through the Cherub’s Closet community. The church was able to hear how God is using this ministry to not only impact the community but also impact the individuals in our church.

In addition, in March the Oak Hills Kids Ministries did a March Madness competition to collect diapers in support of the ministry. Between the kids and the rest of the congregation we were able to collect over 3500 diapers! 🙌

We are so thankful for the ongoing support of Cherub’s Closet! 🤍👼🏼

March Mission Madness starts March 4! Kids Night kids are invited to bring diapers and pull-ups to kids night to support cherubs closet!! We are also collecting on Sunday mornings this year so don’t worry if you forget on a Wednesday. Check your email next week for more info!

We have wrapped up summer and are moving into our school year but first we wanted to acknowledge some visitors we had this summer in Kids Church! Pastor Jim, Pastor Brandon and Pastor Brian came and joined us a few times this summer to help teach Bible and in a breakout room!

We had a wonderful week stepping right up at VBS! We learned how to spend time with God, spend time with others, use our gifts and share our stories!

Our VBS offerng this year was for Sanford Children’s Hospital food pantry called Kids in the kitchen. They serve more than 1,000 patients each month ditribute over 1,500 poinds of food a week! Our offering goal was $500 for Kids in the Kitchen and the kids blew it the out of the water and brought in over $900!! Way to go kids!

This meant they got to turn Pastor Brandon, Pastor Brian, Cade, Karina and Jill into human birthday cakes!! It was a sticky fun time!

We’re starting our VBS all about spiritual
habits this week called Step Right Up! Kick off is tonight from 6-8P.M. Don't forget your swim suits!
