Mark 12:28-34 ESV

Dear heavenly Father, please put me through whatever you need to put me through to get my mind set right for the coming end times. Father please don't allow me to be deceived at this time. Lord you know how to drop me into situations that I need and I know how to adapt to them. Let me experience whatever it is I need to be ready for whatever is coming.

Jesus said in the Bible that believers are not going to be able to miss his second coming and boy was he right. Look around us. It's all so bizarre compared to what we're used to.

It's pretty obvious most folks have all but given up and what they need right now is encouragement.

As I go about my day I usually evaluate how attentive someone is to their job just out of habit from having to manage groups of people. Well let me tell you I have noticed that nobody cares anymore about their job. Everyone's thinking about something else. It's like they're doing everything they can to not focus on what's right in front of them. This is especially obvious with store clerks. It's not a very desirable job to begin with. Nobody wants to be there. They're probably not getting paid enough so they have problems at home. The economy has devolved into garbage and everybody's struggling to survive. I get it. But man I wish people would at least have some pride in their work no matter what it is.

These people don't realize how important they are to our everyday lives. Maybe we should encourage them more.

How is this biblical?

Well, God told us to encourage each other so we don't lose faith. I think more of us should be pointing people to Jesus and encouraging them. I'm guilty as well of not doing it enough. I beat myself up over it all the time. I'm not good with talking to people. And I use that as an excuse but I shouldn't. Jesus said we are to be bold as lions when it comes to sharing the gospel. Practice makes perfect, and have a lot of practicing to do.
