✨Holy Hint of the Week✨

Our words have the power to build someone up or bring them down. This week, let’s be intentional about how we use them.

Before speaking, ask yourself: Will these words bring hope, encouragement, or peace?

When gossip comes your way, choose silence. When someone needs encouragement, use your voice to lift them up.

As Catholics, we are called to let our faith show not only in what we do, but also in what we say.

See you in the Eucharist!

The summer days are winding down now that we are in September. Before it fully slips away, we wanted to share about a couple of the youth trips that we covered this summer with Sacred Heart of Jesus, McCartyville and St. Michael Catholic Church.

In June a group of teens from both churches headed to Steubenville Youth Conference for one of their youth conferences. They enjoyed 3 days of talks, the sacraments and meeting others from all over the world. They focused on the theme of being Worthy of God's love and that the battle always belongs to Him!

In early July a small group from Sacred Heart of Jesus, McCartyville went to Catholic Heart Work Camp in Huntingburg, IN. They had the chance to be put on work teams with many other youth and group leaders from across the U.S. and share in helping some deserving members and organizations in the Huntingburg community. They also had the chance to draw closer to the Lord with the programming in the evening and embrace the theme of being "Blessed"...receiving God's blessing and being God's blessing. Big thanks to all the students who said "Yes" and the chaperones that took the time out of their busy schedules to go.

As a Family of Parishes, we are already prepping for next summer and would love some volunteers to help coordinate these trips, help with fundraising and also providing local retreat opportunities. If you have interest in helping, please reach out to your church's CRE's.
