September 8 | Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today, we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the joyful remembrance of Mary's birth. Her coming into the world marked the dawn of our salvation, for through her faithful "yes" to God, Jesus Christ would enter history and bring redemption to all people.

The Church honors Mary's birth because she was chosen from the beginning to be the Mother of our Savior. Her life of humility, obedience, and trust in God continues to inspire us to follow Christ more closely.

As we celebrate this feast, let us thank God for the gift of Mary and ask for her loving intercession for our families, our parish, and our world.

Prayer:
Blessed Virgin Mary, chosen daughter of the Father and Mother of our Savior, help us to imitate your faith and trust in God. Guide us always to your Son, Jesus. Amen.

Happy Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary!

September 7 | Labor Day

As we celebrate Labor Day, we give thanks to God for the dignity of work and for all those whose labor helps build our families, communities, and nation. Whether through paid employment, volunteer service, caregiving, education, or ministry, every honest effort can be an opportunity to serve God and others.

Today, let us pray for workers, employers, the unemployed, retirees, and all who seek meaningful work. May Saint Joseph the Worker intercede for us, helping us to use our gifts for the glory of God and the good of our neighbors.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, bless all who labor each day. Grant them safety, strength, and fulfillment in their work. Inspire us to treat one another with dignity and respect, and help us to see our daily work as a participation in Your loving care for the world. Amen.

➡Labor Day Reminder:
The Parish Center and School will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

May everyone enjoy a safe and blessed holiday!

September 6 | Gospel Reflection- Matthew 18:15-20

In today's Gospel, Jesus teaches His disciples about reconciliation, forgiveness, and the importance of community. Rather than allowing conflicts to divide us, He calls us to seek understanding and restoration with humility and charity.

Jesus reminds us that relationships are worth mending and that we should approach others with a spirit of love and concern for their well-being. He also assures us of the power of prayer and His abiding presence among His people:

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

As followers of Christ, we are called to be peacemakers, striving to heal divisions, strengthen our communities, and support one another in faith.

Reflection:
Is there a relationship in my life that needs healing, forgiveness, or a conversation rooted in charity?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help us to be instruments of reconciliation and peace. Give us the courage to seek forgiveness, the humility to admit our faults, and the love to restore broken relationships. May Your presence guide our families, our parish, and our community. Amen.

Throughout her life, Mary showed unwavering faith in God. From the moment she said "yes" to the angel's message, she trusted in God's plan, even when she did not fully understand it. Her faith sustained her through moments of great joy and deep sorrow.

As we honor the faith of Mary today, let us ask for the grace to trust God more completely in our own lives, especially during times of uncertainty, sorrow, and challenge.

Reflection:
What is one area of my life where God is calling me to trust Him more fully?

Prayer:
Blessed Mother, model of perfect faith, help us to trust in God's promises as you did. Strengthen us when our faith is tested, and guide us always closer to your Son, Jesus. Amen.

"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." (Luke 1:45)

Today, ask Our Lady of Sorrows to comfort all who mourn the loss of loved ones. May they find peace in Christ's promise of eternal life.

💔Offer your own grieving heart to the Blessed Mother who endured such anguish; she understands a broken heart better than any human and embodies empathy for all those who suffer. ❤️‍🩹

September 3 | Memorial of Saint Gregory the Great, Pope and Doctor of the Church

Today, we honor Saint Gregory the Great (c. 540-604), a humble servant of God who led the Church with wisdom, charity, and courage. As Pope, he worked tirelessly to care for the poor, strengthen the faith, and spread the Gospel. His teachings and writings continue to inspire the Church, earning him the title Doctor of the Church.

Saint Gregory reminded us that true leadership is rooted in service, calling himself the "Servant of the Servants of God." May his example inspire us to lead with humility, compassion, and faithfulness in our daily lives.

Prayer:
Saint Gregory the Great, pray for us, that we may faithfully serve Christ and His Church with humble and generous hearts. Amen.

September: Month of Our Lady of Sorrows

As we begin the month of September, the Church invites us to reflect on the sorrows endured by the Blessed Virgin Mary as she faithfully accompanied her Son, Jesus, throughout His life and especially during His Passion and Death.

Through her Seven Sorrows, Mary teaches us how to trust God amid suffering, remain faithful in times of trial, and draw closer to Christ with a loving and compassionate heart. Her example reminds us that even in life's deepest sorrows, God is present and His love never fails.

During this month, let us turn to Our Lady of Sorrows for comfort, strength, and hope, entrusting to her all those who are suffering in body, mind, or spirit.

Prayer:
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us. Help us to unite our trials with those of your Son and to trust in God's plan with the same faith and courage that you showed throughout your life. Amen.

"Blessed is she who believed that what was spoken to her by the Lord would be fulfilled." (Luke 1:45)
