Join the community of The Benedictine Way and Contemplative Underground in prayer for our democracy and for justice, mercy, and peace in our nation on Election Day - November 3 from 8am-8pm CT. This vigil will include our Daily Offices, Adoration, silence, readings, music, and reflections; livestreamed on our YouTube Channel (link in bio) or in-person at Incarnation Monastery (3020 Belvedere Blvd.). At an anxious time, come enter into silence and contemplative prayer – for some of the day, all of the day, or check back in throughout the day.

Fall into Reflection: Join Us for Our October Retreat!

Since Bishop Owensby’s book is at the heart of this year’s Community Gathering in Following Jesus—and in response to many requests from mentors, participants, and coordinators—we’re delighted to extend the invitation beyond EfM alumni!

Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re part of EfM now, have been connected in the past, or are simply interested in joining the conversation, we’d love to have you with us.

Registration is open for just one more week, so grab a friend and come join the gathering. We hope to see you there!

The retreat will take place Friday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 25, at the beautiful Solomon Conference Center—a peaceful setting that invites rest, prayer, and deep conversation.

Bishop Jake Owensby of the Diocese of Western Louisiana is our reflections leader. Bishop Owensby’s presentations will be grounded in his book A Full-Hearted Life, the Community Gathering text for 2026-27 Path: Following Jesus. Through teaching, storytelling, and shared reflection, we’ll explore what it means to live faithfully and fully as followers of Jesus—heart, mind, and soul.

The retreat begins Friday evening with an opening plenary led by EfM Executive Director Kevin Goodman. He will address what’s unfolding in this exciting new chapter of EfM, including the new curriculum, engaging short courses, transformative pilgrimages, and a growing collection of resources, some created especially for EfM alumni.

EfM was well represented at the "Full and Equal" Conference held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Full & Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise” was a national three-day gathering hosted by The Episcopal Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from September 3–5, 2026, to mark the 50th anniversary of a landmark 1976 resolution supporting LGBTQ+ inclusion.
