Sunday June 7 is CAC Pantry Sunday. In May, CAC distributed food to 124 households, reaching approximately 301 neighbors. To continue serving our neighbors, CAC is in need of bread, granola bars, skillet dinners, canned pinto beans, toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap for this month’s Pantry Sunday collection. The Community Action Committee is more than a food pantry as it strives to meet the basic human needs of those living in crisis in and around Sewanee. Neighbors can visit Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to receive weekly groceries and inquire about assistance with utility expenses. To learn more about CAC services, call (931) 598-5927.

After a family style dinner and singing, adults will engage in a lecture series while the children learn Bible stories through craft and play. Our speakers this year:
• Monday, June 1 – Jim Turrell

Respite from the heat: One of the AC units that serves the Sewanee Children’s Center has failed. We are in the process of replacing the unit, but it will take time. In the interim, we are hoping to borrow 2 window AC units to cool SCC classrooms. If you have an unused unit you would be willing to lend, please contact Parish Administrator, Dan Amundson at [email protected]
