Freedom with Gratitude

As we celebrate Independence Day, we give thanks for the many freedoms we enjoy and for all who have worked and sacrificed to preserve them. This holiday also reminds us that freedom is more than a privilege—it is an opportunity to love our neighbors, serve our communities, and seek the common good.

While our founding fathers envisioned a nation of freedom and justice for all, we continue to work towards that goal. As followers of Christ, we seek to embrace these principles for our neighbors, working to create a nation of cooperation. Finding our deepest freedom in God’s love, we reach for unity beyond our differences and divisions.

May this celebration of our nation’s aspirations inspire us to live with grateful hearts, to extend kindness and grace to one another, and to work together in the spirit of peace. And may God bless each of us, our community, our nation and indeed the world, as we strive to be faithful stewards of the freedoms we have been given.
