Our Lady of the Earth and Sky

Our Lady of the Earth and Sky Our Lady of the Earth and Sky (OLOTEAS) is a non-profit, non-denominational Pagan church serving the Puget Sound area in Washington State.

We are dedicated to promoting religious tolerance and freedom and environmental sustainability. We provide family-oriented Pagan religious services, festivals, classes, and workshops, ecumenical outreach, and opportunities for community and environmental service. All OLOTEAS community events are open to the public. All persons are welcome, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, gender, or gender preference. We endeavor to provide as much accessibility for the disabled as we possibly can at all of our community religious services. We also encourage environmental stewardship and religious freedom through grassroots actions such as demonstration, letter writing, and working with existing organizations dedicated to similar goals.

Lets add to the soup pot!

Today marks the second week of the OLOTEAS Stone Soup Harvest Fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $2500 to cover the difference between our monthly donations at the door and our actual yearly expenses.

Donations to OLOTEAS help pay site fees to the Long House and purchase event supplies. You can donate here: https://www.oloteas.org/donate-to-oloteas.html

This year, if you make a donation of any size, you can email a picture of your favorite rock and proof of donation (a screenshot or picture of you donating in person) to [email protected], and we will anonymously post your rock picture to all of our social media platforms. All contributions add to the community's stone soup pot!

However you contribute to the OLOTEAS community, thank you for being a part of it!

We've officially reached the harvest season, and with that comes OLOTEAS’ Annual Harvest Fundraiser!

This year our goal is to raise $2500 to cover the difference between our monthly donations at the door and our actual yearly expenses.

In the spirit of the harvest, this year's fundraiser will be based on the story of Stone Soup. This folk tale tells about a town where everyone contributes just a little to a pot full of stones, and by the time they're done, there's a feast for everyone to share. The same is true of OLOTEAS - any and all contributions help us provide a community space for all to enjoy.

One way you can contribute is by donating on PayPal here: https://www.oloteas.org/donate-to-oloteas.html

Hooray Hooray for the First of May!
Our Pan/Aphrodite Shrine Fundraiser Starts Today!

TL; DR: We want to raise $1000 by May 31, to cover the expenses of necessary repairs to our Pan/Aphrodite Shrine building so it will be in working order for the Earth and Sky Pagan Camp Out in July. Can you pitch in a few dollars or a few hours to help?

Donate here: https://www.oloteas.org/donate-to-oloteas.html
Email oloteas @ gmail.com if you are available weekdays to help with the work.

THANK YOU!

Want more info? Please see below.

At our March Services, during our biannual Community meeting, we discussed the current condition of the OLOTEAS Pan/Aphrodite Shrine and whether we wanted to continue to have one. All present expressed enthusiastic support for continuing the Shrine in some form, and the OLOTEAS staff agreed to come up with a budget for options moving forward. We’ve determined that the most cost effective thing to do is to repair the existing building, and now you can help us do that!

Funds raised will cover the expense of new mold resistant flooring (plywood sheets, fasteners, floor paint and sealants to prevent future moisture damage), mold blocking primer for the ceiling, paint to spruce up the existing space, some replacement bedding, and the incidental things that always crop up when you start a project like this. If any of the funds raised aren’t spent on this immediate project, they will be held separately for future Shrine maintenance and supplies.

We will also need some help with the work when the time comes, and that will need to happen on weekdays given that other groups are using the space on weekends. If you are able to donate some funds or some time, we appreciate it!

Happy Beltane, everyone! Comment to tell us what you're doing to celebrate!
