Hope welcomed 10 new students to sixth grade this fall and what better way to get to know each other than to share some pizza, crafts and games the first week of school! The weather cooperated and students hung out on the patio, art room and home room. Welcome to Hope School everyone! We are happy you are here!

Kindergarten is learning all about being in a classroom this week. How to raise your 'quiet' hand, how to sit on the carpet and how to take some deep breaths while painting the color bands of the rainbow. It's good to start off the day with a little yoga! #

We are called.

Called to serve.

It's not a "have to;" it is a "want to" calling. And today, staff and teachers returned to school to prepare for their students that they will share 180 days with this year; laughing, joking, listening to, teaching to, praying with, disciplining, mentoring, and rejoicing with. This is the work of a teacher.

These things and so much more are why our veteran staff continue to invest in students year after year. Our theme this year is "Rooted in Christ" inspired by Colossians 2:6-7.

As we begin this year we take comfort in the knowledge that our faith anchors us, "roots" us to the earth and our faith, and is the solid foundation that we build upon.

We look forward to welcoming our students and families back to school next week and sharing more about what it means to be "Rooted in Christ."
