Proverbs 24:1–2
1 Do not envy wicked men,
do not desire their company;
2 for their hearts plot violence,
and their lips talk about making trouble.
For whatever reason we often look up to wicked people. We think the bad boy is cool and wild girl is fun. We wish we could be part of their gang
and hang out in their circles. But they’re often wicked people, Some are gang bangers who are into drugs, theft and violence. Others are sexually immoral or all the above.
We need to remember that the road for such people is misery. It usually includes a string of broken relationship, sometimes prison and even early an death. What may look cool or fun, is in reality an indication that they’re fools and not the type of people …we should hang out with.
