TONIGHT!

"Pronouns for grandparents and other interested parties." Thursday, June 18, 7 pm at Magnolia Lutheran Church. This (free of course) talk discusses what happens when someone you know, often a younger person, changes what pronouns they use, what that might mean, and how you can respond. We'll start with a bit of terminology so everyone has the same vocabulary, and we will have lots of time for questions.

I will be presenting; I am a former board member and board chair of Lambda Legal, a organization that advocates for the legal rights of all LGBTQ+ people and everyone living with HIV.

The first silent reading evening is TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 7 pm at Magnolia Lutheran!

Bring a book or pick one of ours to read (you may keep it to finish and bring back when you are done). We'll start at 7 in our library (use the north entrance doors) and read for an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. For those who want to stay and chat a bit, we'll put out drinks and a snack in an adjacent room so people can talk if they wish and people can also continue to read if they wish.

Older kids are welcome but need to be of an age to be quiet with their own material for the whole time; you decide if that is your child at this point.

The church is at 2414 31st Ave. W., one block east of the village. Accessible parking and entrance are available east of the church off McGraw; the church also has an accessible restroom. Free street parking. No need to be a member of this or any house of worship to participate.
