🙏On this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, please join us in praying the archdiocesan prayer for vocations:

God our Father,
You call each of us
to use our gifts in the Body of Christ.

Inspire your people
with desire to know you,
the grace to understand your will,
and, with the strength of the Holy Spirit, the courage to respond
with love and freedom.

Send workers into your great harvest, so that the Gospel is preached, the poor
are served with love, the suffering are comforted,
and your people are strengthened by the sacraments.
Amen.

We are grateful to share this year’s poster featuring women and men from the Archdiocese of Seattle who are currently in formation for religious life all around the world.

Please join us in praying for these individuals as they listen to God’s call and continue their journey of discernment and service. 🙏
May their hearts be strengthened, their vocations nurtured, and their witness inspire us all.

Prayerfully consider those you know who show signs of a call through their love of the Lord, our Church, and their heart of service and nominate them today.

“Called by Name” weekend is this weekend! At each parish in the archdiocese Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, there will be an opportunity to submit names at Mass of young men and women whom you sense might have a call to priesthood or religious life.

You might be wondering, “How do I know who to write down?”

Like so many things, the answer is through prayer!🙏
Ask the Lord for guidance. Look for those signs of a possible call. Do not be afraid to invite!

This weekend Archbishop Etienne asks all the faithful to submit names to intentionally let the Lord Jesus invite each of our young people (aged 16-35) toward their vocation. Through your invitations, a letter from the archbishop will be sent out to encourage and support nominees in their discernment, as well as invite them to Andrew and Miriam dinners, where they will learn more about these vocations and interact with their peers.
